This is my first ever import from Germany, didn't think it'd be Ģ6 for delivery. Is it normally that much or can we order this elsewhere cheaper?
Yeah, it was that price for shipping when I ordered Sucker Punch from them last year. I got it on the day of release too! So it was faster than most of my orders from Amazon UK lol

But the way I look at it is, if this was an HMV steel then you'd be looking at Ģ17.99 - Ģ19.99 anyway, so it's not that much more expensive, at least that's what I keep telling myself

just pre order it with a few other blu rays as the post does'nt change, you could order 10 blu rays and it would still be 7.20 euros.

or pre order items that come out afterwords then cancel after warrior has been despatched as they would only take a percentage and not the whole amount.

Only other alternative is to wait and get one from ebay.de. However, with them you'll first need to find a seller that's willing to ship to the UK and you might pay over the odds for the Steelbook itself.

The last few steelbooks that I've ordered from the UK (Captain America and Super 8) have been Ģ19.99 so not really that much difference for a Ģ21 imported steelbook. (at least, that's they way that I'm justifying it )
Both fair points and to be honest the film is worth every penny, can't wait for this

a few questions on this before I too take the plunge on a blind buy:

1) Is the English track the default track or something you have to select from the menus?

2) Is it the same quality recording/encoding found in the US Release for video and audio?

3) Is it region free?

4) Anyone doing a group buy on this? Shipping is Euro 14. Ugh....that's almost the cost of the movie itself...

Thank you!

I don't think Q1-3 will be answered until one of us has this in our hands. As for Q4, I don't know where on this site you'd be able to find out/ arrange a group buy. The Trading forum perhaps, or are group buys generally arranged within the title thread itself?

I've never like Steelbooks because they are easily subjected to being damaged during transit, unless you pick it up direct from the retailer. I prefer the normal blu-ray cases!

While this may be the case (or they may be damaged prior to shipping), I was amazed at the care amazon france took in packing and shipping 4 steelbooks i purchased at the end of last year. Each steel was bubble wrapped then placed in an amazon cardboard mailer and then each cardboard mailer was placed in a box with plenty of packing material. Interestingly, the one non-steelbook i ordered was not wrapped and packaged like the steels, but rather just included in the box. That wasn't damaged either. Maybe other amazon outlets are not as meticulous. Retailers here in the US are certainly not. but i will most certainly order from amazon france in the future should i want steels from europe.

That's why group buys are good, they often protect bigger shipments better.

If you are interested in joining the GB add your request under the list.

Amazon.fr, & Amazon.de (this includes Amazon.es which seems to be run from Germany) are really OCD about packaging especially with steelbooks. As mentioned earlier they bubblewrap then put them in a cardboard mailer and then in a box with extra padding.
