that's exactly why sleeves are limited, nobody would pay more if the titles
came guaranteed with sleeves once they are on sale.
rule of thumb, the longer you wait, the lesser the chances!
you really can't blame amazon if you decide to purchase like a year later
I agree, you snooze you lose!
I know how fast WB changes those Combo packs over to single discers, especially in Walmart. However I noticed lately they get 2 versions, especially with Sony titles, of course they pass along a 5.00 savings

The problem is some people might just start joining on blu-ray, example I start joining just last year December, which means most release before it is hardly difficult to get it with slip.

I do hope they is always two version release, more expensive came with slipcover forever (I am OK even it get much higher later time), I don't might paid more anytime as long as the film I want always came with decent slipcover.

If you just started collecting my advice would be to head to the slipcover trading thread and start buying the ones you want. It's faster and cheaper in the long run rather than playing guessing/return games with Amazon. That's not to mention how you feel when a slip comes in damaged of all things due to poor packaging.

That's why I have an entire box of slipcovers saved for when I get around to picking up movies at much cheaper prices.

Except even pre-ordering some discs doesn't guarantee you a slipcover. Warner is pretty bad about that problem, making only 10,000 or so slips on some movies. It's a pain exchanging them because the typical Amazon customer rep has no idea about slipcovers at all.

Amazon has gotten better about removing the picture of the slipcover from their item page a few weeks after release.

Yeah, I usually try to buy anything with a slipcover in the store, just to make sure I get a slipcover in decent condition.

However, I did order Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 from Amazon France because they were separate releases and were supposed to have slipcovers. Got them today and no slips, so I'm returning them under 'missing accessories'. Went with a replacement, so we'll see how the second round goes.

I ordered Vanishing on 7th St. today. No slip or Digital Copy. Already back in the mail to Amazon.

I'm looking for the slip through the forum now just in case I have problems finding it later down the road.

I don't mean to be a Negative Nancy, but it's not like Amazon.com items all ship from the same distribution center. Different warehouses will ship different products. If you are concerned about getting a slipcover with your movie purchase, best to buy it close to release date or find it in person.

I got THOR (2-disc edition) from Amazon without slip. Kind of early for it to be losing it slipcover, don't you think?

Is there like a specific place where you can buy slipcovers?
