I heard Eureka (Masters of Cinema) are releasing it on BD around Halloween time (according to their Facebook page).

They're also re releasing it in the UK. Sucks that nothing like that ever happens in the US.

I wouldn't be surprised if it finds its way to US indie theaters by next summer or so. I live in Chicago and this just screams 'The Music Box'.

It'd be awesome if it did. I live in Indiana and we don't get any indie movies at all.

They are; just announced. Good news is, since Nosferatu is public domain in the U.S. (as is anything released prior to 1923), you can still release your BD if you so choose. Bad news is, it probably won't look as good as the Kino since they're using the "authorized" FWMS elements. (That's "authorized" as in by the European copyright holder; yes, I know it's ironic since Nosferatu itself was "unauthorized" by the publishers of Dracula back in the day.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I never saw the film before until last week, and even then, I only got halfway through it until I was (sadly) pulled away by something else, but I've been itching to get back to it. I might just have to pick this up on blu-ray. I'm sure it'll look leagues better than what Netflix Instant offers me.

Max Schreck, Klaus Kinski and Willem Dafoe. Its not often you get 3 actors turning in genius performances playing (essentially) the same character.
