That's not really true. The number of people adopting Blu-ray is increasing all the time. It's obvious that a catalogue title released now would sell many times more copies now than if it had been released five years ago.

I think on a lot of older titles, some have to be restored, repaired or whatnot and the cost of doing these such things right now, greatly overshadows the profits of such releases.
Maybe when more and more people start adopting blu ray as their preferred disc choice the price of restoring older films will go down in price and be more
cost effective.
