ha ha. Reminds me of the Galaxy Quest audio track.

Subtitles in Klingon text would be a great option for the movies, but how often are subtitles needed throughout the entire movie franchise.

Actually there was a university a few years back that made headlines for offering a Klingon Language course.

Speaking of the trek blu's....did they screw up on the back cover of part 4 and put in a Klingon villain not in the movie?

I'm not home now to check unfortunately.

No. I think that's the one Klingon that was in the court hearing and such...but don't quote me on that.

Deserving? Probably not, but I always loved that performance.

Actually not a klingon villian, He is the Klingon Ambassador who represents the Klingon High Council's interests after the events of star trek III
the character also returns for star trek VI.

And what does that have to do with anything? The point is whether or not the filmmaker intended the vocalizations of the "foreign" characters on the screen to be understood by the audience AND whether the film should represent the way it was seen in theatres.

Since it was originally shown with the subtitles (for a particular scene) and since the use of subtitles implies that the filmmaker DID want the audience to know what these characters were saying, then it should have the subtitles.

OK, well, it must've been something with the Subtitle option with the player at that time. You see, I turned them on briefly when Kirk turns to the young black cadet on the bridge and says "A Hero's Welcome Home, son. Is that what you'd like?" He always said that part so fast that I never understood what he said, in fact it sounds like Yiddish. And s o then when I turned the subtitles off, it must've screwed up the auto-generation for the Klingon dialogue. I didn't finish the film on that sitting, so when I went back to it today, and Klingons spoke and when Saavik spoke to young Spock, subtitles appeared.

But yeah....what the hell is the beef about Klingon subtitles? You didn't actually think I wanted Klingon subtitles for ALL dialogue in the movie did ya? Because that would be #RonPaul stupid.

You should refrain of posting these kind of weird argumentative posts. First the subtitles missing would be in English. Second, your argument of Klingon not being recognized in any country government or organization of Earth and that being a reason for not caring for including the Klingon language when watching a FICTION movie about Klingons isn't valid because you could use it to say that, about watching a movie about alien races that don't exist, haven't been met, or aren't recognized by any country, government, planet or organization we currently know of, but you are obviously watching. You should streamline your responses or the silly argumentative posts are history.

So the hard-coded subs for the alien language don't appear as they did theatrically?
