The US release of Jin-Roh (anime film) with the book is one of the rarest BDs now. Bandai Visual released it shortly before leaving the US market and 5 years ago not as many people were collecting BDs.

Yep, Jin-Roh is the hardest to find. All the others mentioned in this thread are easily found on Amazon or ebay.

I am not sure about now, but there was a time when, right after Paramount ditched Blu-Ray and went strcitly HD-DVD (Remember those days?), Shooter with Marky-Mark, was rare and going for about $100 or more on Amazon.

I stumbled across a new copy at Movie Stop for $20.

I bought the German steelbook for $20 shipped brand new off eBay a few months ago. I just wish it had lossless audio.

yep that one lol... I only got it to use as collateral for a trade since it was supposedly oop and people seemed to want it... I agree the movie is horrible... but its all good cause amazon gave me $29 for my sealed copy... if I run across any more I will do the same thing because I only paid $7 for it new... as far as some of these titles it may be a regional thing since some people report to seeing numerous copies while others can never find them

I heard it from someone on this forum possibly you during the fall B&N 2009 sale. I made my order online for store pickup and had to drive to the outskirts of the county to find my copy.

Akira is not OOP. Japanese anime Blu-rays have always maintained a high price and even when the Akira DVDs were released, they were always expensive. Akira is not one of those anime films that will always fetch a premium price because it was released by HONNEAMISE.

HONNEAMISE released all of their titles with premium prices and they've always been that way. They were released under the Bandai Visual company name.
