Their website still says ABC. Not that it matters to us in Europe, but I guess this will confuse some of our overseas friends.

They confirmed it on the Cult Labs forum. Now I am going to try to decide if I want to cancel my order or just keep it and pick up a cheap player that be hacked.

May be time to invest in a player that will play any region.

The gore is immense but I recently saw both on The Horror Channel for the first time in about 20 years and they really were AWFUL movies

I emailed Arrow weeks ago about the region coding and they never responded. It's sad that I have to get this news on a message board instead of customer service from the actual company releasing the product!

This region lock is an incredible disappointment. I just cancelled my Amazon UK order for this and Demons 2.

However, does the region lock mean that there is perhaps a US release in the works? Does Anchor Bay even still care about horror? I hope Image doesn't get a hold of the Demons movies and release them in botched transfers without extras like Hellbound: Hellraiser II.

I was thinking more along the lines of the two Dollman movies ... but yes, some Full Moon movies are cheesy fun.

back on topic though Demons 2, doesn't really hold a candle to the first film, the kinetic energy and non-stop gore just seemed lacking in '2'

Big +1 on Trancers.

Have just learnt that the date for both releases has been put back until 30th April!! Just when I was getting all excited thinking only another month to go until the release date and Arrow have put the date back. If the date gets postponed again, I will be very upset!!

This!

Arrow should forget the potential steelbook, and try and add the soundtrack disc to the extras.

Still quite pricey for the first film.. thinking of holding off, but after the recent comments from Arrow regarding 'Limited Editions', might not pay to?

My early pre-orders for 1 and 2 separately comes to less than the steelbook does.

In keeping with the loose knit Demons series I'd love to see The Church and The Sect (no release outside of Italy on dvd, youtube has a 720p un-subtitled version though), and Lamberto Bava's Graveyard Disturbance which has visuals fit for the format.

Most of all in keeping with the subject of demons I keep praying for Night of the Demons on blu-ray. A really nice looking and sounding version with the proper color timing I'd pay good money for.

I don't particularly like The Sect. But The Church...that is a choice movie!! Would love to see it on bd. If we're talking Soavi, I also want Stagefright/Aquarius.

That steelbook looks like a good bet. I love Arrow's packaging but was a little dismayed with the black artwork, as opposed to their normal white, so the steelbook might be the way to go for me
