It is a joint production by Universal and Fox which airs on Fox, USA Network gets reruns, and on Global in Canada. House is the Fox networks #1 show.
I don't know for sure, but seeing as it is by both Fox and Universal it would seem to me that it could be released on both formats.

Get the MKV's of the current season from usenet, transcode to MP4, and watch the latest season in all its 720p glory on your PS3. To hell with Universal

P.S. you can do the same with heroes as well

I just Tivo Series3 it. It's a good show but not sure I like it enough to have it in my collection.

I'm still trying to figure out how to change the containers from MKV to MP4 without transcoding, if the video is already in H.264. Is there a way?

if there is a way fuad, I surely can't find it. The video9 from red kawa has an option to do just this, but I have not had any luck with it, maybe it will work better in future releases
