Can I connect Bose 901's to a Pioneer SC-55? - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

So, I saw at newegg where the VSX-1121 went on sale for $449 and ended yesterday. I went ahead and bought that receiver. I thought the price was really good, and for that I felt I made a wise decision. So I still need an external amp to connect the 901's. Eventually I will purchase one. How will I connect these once I get an amp? Thanks for the help.

The EQ will go between the external amp (L/R) and the receiver it's in the manual

the 901s are actually excellent speakers its the accoustamas systems that are lacking in performance for the price you pay

Thanks guys. The 901's I actually stumbled on to. My wife had bought some furniture at a yard sale. When I pull up the guy has a speaker in the front yard. I ask him if it's for sale and he said it is old and rotted out but he had a pair of Bose speakers in the house. I go in and I actually had never seen the 901's before. I know, I know. Anyways, he said he bought them in Germany years ago. He had this picture frame with a certificate in it. It was a certificate for his purchase and had an Oak tree leaf on the certificate. It shows the number of the speakers and that they are "Oak" edition speakers. The wood is Oak instead of the normal darker wood. He says he has to hook them up and I leave and take the furniture down to the flea market where my wife is. I look them up on Ebay and couldn't believe what they were selling for. The guy sold them to me for $120! I got the EQ and two speakers for that price. They are series VI. I thought I got a great buy. Especially after I heard them. My wife couldn't believe how loud and clear they sounded. Anyway, I'm happy with them and that's all that matters. Pretty good find I thought. Once again thanks for the help.

That's a pretty sweet deal you got. I've heard a lot of good things about the 901's. Glad to hear you and your wife are enjoying them. I have personally never heard the speakers before but as I said, I've really read nothing but positive things about them - even from the people who are not big fans of Bose.

Maybe someone can help. Bought a VSX-1121K and love it! Now I am trying to see if I can play music files from my Iphone or laptop. The control app works from my Iphone but yet the computer doesn't show it on the network through the avinavigator. I was wondering how I can do this through the H.M.G. on the receiver. Went to that section on the receiver and highlighted section does not scroll up or down. I was wondering if someone could help me with this and whether or not I can do this over my wireless network. I have the receiver connected to the wireless network through a connection plugged in to a powerline av 200 plugged in to the socket on the wall behind the receiver. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
