Any official word on what the bonus adventure is going to be? I was thinking it would be the Pixie Hollow Games, but it could be something else.

Just saw the preview for this on the Cinderella blu. I haven't really into Disney's whole fairy phenomenon (with the exception of Peter Pan), but I must admit that this does look like a pretty decent movie. I'll be picking one up in 3D. While I'm at it, I may just check out the other Tinker Bell movies on Netflix.

I think the first 2 were above average, the third was not that great. A lot of clichés.

I'll pick this up, but not as long as it's 29.99. Surprised BB has such a high price for the first week.

The review on HTF already says the twenty-minute condensed Pixie Hollow Games, and that it's...actually cuter than the main feature.

Has anybody noticed that the they took out the spine art from this release? Really wished it still had it to complete more of the spine art. Saw the previous titles @ Target and noticed they completely re-did the front of the slipcover & spine [no art] on the first 3 titles. The back art is still the same.

Those cheap Disney @&$(ards!! They cram 4 disks on 2 spokes and do not have lossless audio for the "Pixie Hollow Games"! I am so upset with this poor release. What a disappointment!

I watched it on Tuesday and was pretty pleased with it. I will say though that while the 3D is good, I didn't really find any WOW moments. It just felt very natural and there was decent depth throughout. Also of note, there was ZERO ghosting on my Panny VT25. The best 3D seemed to be whenever they were in the Winter Woods since it was usually snowing. If I were going by the site's grading system, I would give the 3D itself a 3.5/5. I will say that I wish the other 3 would be re-released in 3D though because even though the 3D wasn't super strong, it was preferable to 2D.
In terms of the PQ, it is just as great as the other movies. I think one of the reasons why I originally sought out these movies is the fantastic PQ found in each one. Considering these are all DTV movies, I find that pretty impressive.
Story-wise, I don't think it's the best one, but it is still above average - a feat that has been very consistent with the movies. I haven't watched the Pixie Hollow Games short yet, but I plan to this weekend. Hope that helps!

Although, of course, the movie wasn't designed to be in 3D--
We had that year delay while Disney went back to re-render the movie, now that most all new DTV CGI will be available for Blu3D, which they've only started implementing as a policy.
Probably won't see the artistic influence until the next couple of titles. (Eg. Planes)

I didn't know about the delay to re-render the movie. I thought that the delay was to change the story a bit; hence even the change in the title from Tinker Bell and the Mysterious Winter Woods to Secret of the Wings (I like the other title better now that I've seen the movie). I did notice that some of the scenes from the scenes from the early trailers are not in the movie or have been changed (i.e. Tinker Bell meeting Periwinkle for the first time). But it's interesting to get some insight on the delay regardless.
As a side note, the Planes preview on the 3D disc was seriously underwhelming IMO. Perhaps it's because I don't like Cars, but it just seemed like a quick cash grab to try and revitalize the franchise since even the trailer states it takes place in the Cars universe. Oh well, plenty of other good movies on the horizon.

I watched this last night and this morning and thought it was pretty good. I liked the addition of more male fairies and the snow owls were really cool.

One thing I noticed is that they included "Disney" on the title screen of the actual movie, which I thought was kind of unnecessary. I mean, we just saw the studio name in the castle intro seconds before and I think stamping it on there again made the movie seem cheap. Disney is sure obsessed with putting their name on every possible thing. Disney Blu-ray, Disney Secret of the Wings, Disney Fairies, Disney 3D. It's getting ridiculous and I'm a fan of the studio. Sometimes they have the word "Disney" up to three times on the spine of a Blu-ray!

Hopefully the title screen branding doesn't become a trend; I'm hoping it's just because this was a DTV film.

Also, does anyone know if the Fairy Hollow Games short film is included in 3D or is it just on the 2D disc?

The Planes disk wasn't a "cash grab", just cleaning up some notes that would've just gone to waste--
There were supposed to be a lot more developed gags about Top-Gun talking planes at the airport scene in Cars 2, but all but one or two lines were left on the storyboard floor at the last minute. Pixar figured it would be better left for a spinoff, but even they didn't consider it worth studio time if ToonStudios could do it--They already had their own Toy Story and Mater spinoffs to market.

Still waiting to rent the new Tink, any teasers for the next one (of which the Queen looks like she'll be the focus) in 2D or 3?
