I hope they didn't base their decision on Toshiba or Microsoft's $tatistics.

i was told by a best buy employee (he is not your typical BBY employee) last summer that Wal-mart was going blu-ray exclusive. Beatboy said they were going exclusive. Yesterday, I went to pick Surf's Up up at Wally World and they had the blu-rays at the very front of the store with the SU DVDs. My Walmart is about 5:1 in favor of BD.

I heard that Toshiba was trying to bribe Walmart to do something, but Walmart said they would let the consumer decide.

BTW Guy's, BJ's went Blu-Ray exclusive (Only at their stores, not online) months ago.

My two local Wally World's have maybe 20 or so Blu-ray movies and about a dozen HD DVD movies. It'll be interesting if they expand by the end of the month. They used to feature both on a small rack on the end of an isl, but those have been removed. The only HD-Media I can find is in the middle of a regular DVD rack at both stores. I don't generally go to Target (local store charges $29.99 for every title) and I rarely go to Best Buy either.

I have been to 3 different Wal- Mart's here in South Carolina and have only seen Blu- ray. I have also seen 300 on blu at our Sams Club and no HD DVD.

My local Super Walmart hardly carries any BD or HDDVD. Last time I was there saw 5-6 BD titles and only one HDDVD; Blades of Glory!

Definately if I see any BD for 19.96 or whatever close I'll buy them to support.

Last edited by Albert1119; 10-11-2007 at 09:39 PM. Reason: forgot to say I'd only be buying BD at Walmart and no HDDVD
