Shooter was one of those cheap blind buys I bought for something to watch and ended up really enjoying, weather Id want it in a steelbook I dunno, all I know for sure is I wouldnt even use a GI Joe steelbook as a doorstop, let alone give it precious shelf space...

I think the one were all curious about is the Iron man, we do know the Australian one isnt gonna be a steelbook, and so the UK one will be very popular, it seems to be confirmed by those in the know that its not gonna have the 'futureshop' artwork, so Im anxious as to its design...but lets face it, Im gonna buy it either way lol

Well, this is it - Shooter's enjoyable enough but I don't see many people clamouring for a steelbook version of it. G.I. Joe is at least a sci-fi/action film and there's always a bit of a nerd (in the kindest sense of the word) crossover between those genres and steelbooks.

Hopefully they'll announce more - would love an Iron Man 2 one, as well as War of the Worlds.

Seconded. It's superb and the book is awesome too. I wish the movie had done better at the box office and at retail, as there's lots of material for sequels and prequels.

Well to prove I'm not picking on Shooter (I'm really not!) here's some good news for you.

Shooter pseudo-sequel Sword on the way

I'm sure some people like Shooter enough to get the steelbook, it just sticks out to me as an odd choice. It's a very mid-range movie that did alright but compared to the Paramount back catalogue it just seems there were more obvious choices.

They've got the Godfathers, Star Treks, Transfomers, Jack Ryans, Mission Impossibles, Top Gun, Zulu, Italian Job, Ferris Bueller, American Beauty, No Country for Old Men, The Warriors, Bevery Hills Cop, Cloverfield, Truman Show, Indy IV... I'm not saying they're all great films but most are considered classic or big films or cult hits (which always go down well with the steelbook crowd).

Hopefully they'll be more added though, like Play did with the Universal batch.
