True the audio. Like with Madagascar 3D specifically. I just can't help but to crank the volume on that one. The Combination of such crazy animation and strong 3D, with such excellent audio cranked up, makes for an intense experience.

The 3D movie's success also depends on how many people actually go to see it in 3D to some extent, so that's why it's relevant to discuss it while it's about to or already in theaters and being prepared for blu ray 3D in a few months.

If it was a problem for the moderator, they would have erased these types of early 3D Movie thread discussions ever since they began popping up over a year ago in this section. Instead, they allow us to talk about upcoming 3D movies and then change the title later on by adding "Blu Ray" to the "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter 3D Blu Ray" thread for example.

No big deal really.
Well Said.

Where is that trailer at? The only one I saw is Rise Of The Guardians.

Taking my son to see this movie this weekend, probably see the 2D version and wait for the 3D version on Blu-ray.

I've had this for some time and couldn't stand the movie myself.. Was stupid in my opinion but would be good for kids I guess. 3D was alright but the movie bored me to death.

You have it on what? It's not even out in theatres yet, and the Japanese theatrical release isn't until March 2013, according to IMDB.

Oh crap, pardon me guys.. I made a mistake on this one. I mistook this movie for another I watched long ago called "Horrid Henry". For some reason I was thinking this movie was it until I read TM2's post and checked Youtube and was like, OOP's

My bad, sorry guys haven't seen this one. But on a note, Horrid Henry is the one I watched and didn't like... Very stupid movie.

Okay, thanks. I was wondering how you might have seen it so early on home video, but it was a different movie.
Was Horrid Henry also a 3D movie?

Flipping through channels, they just showed a clip on Wreck it Ralph on Entertainment Tonight with John C Reily the main voice of Ralph, talking a little bit about the movie and the hurricane on the east coast US.

Yes, Horrid Henry was a 3D movie about a weird young kid that acts up and imagines things. The 3D was not so bad, but the movie itself was just terrible and lame.

I'm gonna get to see this free of charge!

When I went to Silent Hill they were having a problem loading the movie, so there was a little delay. It didn't even take them very long to fix it. Yet they gave everyone in the room a pass for a complimentary movie. Got to like that.

Nice. Wreck it Ralph is a nice homage to video games, and not based on any one game, other than a made up game that now exists thanks to the movie.

Just so we're clear:

(And yes, Henry looks pretty awful. )

Oh, I see. Okay, thanks. Was hoping you would point me to some more unseen trailers. Oh well.

It does look fun. Hope the 3D will be solid. Little worried due to some previous comments. I don't mind so much if stuff isn't popping out of the screen. (Though I do like that too.) But I like strong depth. Or if it at least has a good mid range depth I'll be satisfied enough. Like say Monster House or Cloudy With A Chane Of Meatballs. Or Coraline. I don't remember having a problem with UP when I saw it in the theater. Will soon see it again when the 3D BD is released.

For great 3D layers, it'd also be nice if Disney focuses on the great 3D efforts of Open Season 3D, Kung Fu Panda 2 3D, Madagascar 3 3D, etc.

They did a really nice job with the 3D conversion of the trailer for Frankenweenie 3D, though I don't know if it was the same for the entire film yet, but heard good things.

Yeah, that would certainly be ideal. It'd be nice if studios start taking a look at what DreamWorks is doing and following in their steps. Or DreamWorks will be taking over as king of the animated realm. At least for those who love 3D animation anyway.

Yeah, saw that trailer. It looked good. I don't think I could get into that movie much though. I'll probably rent the 2D version to see if I could like it. Don't normally like to do that with 3D titles because I rather see them in 3D for the first time. I think with this one I would have to though, especially since it's black and white. I'd have to really like the story a lot in order to buy it.

A videogame or a movie's enough of a beating in D-Box, now for a movie about videogames...)

A special where-available theater seat that adds vibration jolts, to match the action on screen--
Which I assume will be used during the racing scenes. A LOT.

How did you like it?

3D Previews:
The Croods 3D: Looks promising, nice 3D.
Smurfs 2 3D: Mini preview, decent 3D. Didn't see the first one yet.
Despicable Me 3D: Good 3D, same old preview with the singing yellow pills.
Oz 3D: Very good 3D (on the bigger theater screen, for some reason it didn't look as great as it did on a smaller theater screen)
Hobbit 3D: Great 3D.

I was able to see this one, and the 3D was good at best, but much along the lines of Bolt and other Disney 3D films, so in that sense that's good, just not as great for the 3D as Kung Fu Panda 2, Madagascar 3D, etc. They seemed afraid to separate the 3D cameras very much. It still looks good though.

The movie Wreck it Ralph in 3D was losing me by the halfway mark since it spends so much time in candy land, and Sarah Silverstein (spelling) was intentionally an annoying character as Ralph points out, so that didn't help, but then the story finally kicked in and brought me right back into it at the 3/5ths time point. Then it got good and I walked away satisfied thanks to the nice twist and pivotal character choice required by Ralph.

Good stuff, just wish the prior story was just as interesting but that's probably because I was expecting a lot more variety in the scenery and the games Ralph visited. I'd say 90% of the movie takes place in candy land's "Sugar Rush" game, a made up game.

Good movie, good 3D. Satisfied, but really wish the 3D took chances like Dreamworks does, as pointed out by others here.

3D: Good. Not nearly as good as the 3D in Madagascar 3. On par with Bolt 3D.
