I looked into it for my current home theater build, but I didn't want to wait the extra time for it to ship.

I know a lot of people crap on Prepac's use of press board materials, but they still look nice.

I'm actually just going to save the money that you spend on the crappy pressboard shelves that never quite look right and just make it myself.

I went to Home Depot tonight and purchased $110 worth of Oak and had them cut it for me there. I have a couple powered sanders and stainer left from when I redid our countertops.

I'm looking for something more contemporary or modern as opposed to 'every other dorm' in america look and I don't want to get bookshelves...

I'm looking at jumping into the build on my next day off - Thursday.

I'll post some pictures as it progresses. The most time killing element of this project is going to be the staining...

I'll have you know, I ordered right after posting and it arrived yesterday.

I won't have time to put it together till this weekend but I'm sure it'll serve its purpose till we move to a house where I can have a dedicated HT room. For now it'll just sit in my office.

Last time, I checked...it told me 3 to 5 days to process. That was why I passed and grabbed one of the Target shelves that they were talking about in another thread.

I still need to grab one more.

The biggest Oksar one. I think that's what it's called, the box says it can hold 378 Blu-Rays, but I've managed to squeeze 390 onto it. The America BBS Story, Dirty Harry and Citizen Kane sets kept it from being more.

It did say that so I paid the extra $4 to get next day shipping. I ordered Sunday evening and it shipped on Tuesday. Now I just need the time to build it! Darn summer A&P courses!

i'm getting this one myself, a friend of mine has it. it's very tall almost 6 feet and is very accomodating. Article says it holds 1056 blu rays.

The construction and material is pretty solid, the sheer capacity is what is making me want to take the leap. With the shelving I already have I can condense a good 4-5 shelves and still have room in this thing and store those away when I need more. From what I understand she shelves are adjustable to fit anything, but 1056 blu rays is the most I have ever seen. If memory serves correct it only takes up maybe 2 square feet around IF that.

I use the Benno DVD/CD shelves. THey are great. You can add to the collection of shelving units at any time

I'm not put off by the price. But what I do not care for is that it is a revolving tower aspect. One would have to have huge space for it. Where would it go? I'm guessing in the corner? It may have a high capacity but it has zero WAF factor. If its going in your theater and or cave then go for it. But I can't see that in a normal living rm setting.

I'd prefer to hide the boxes & get one of these or a larger new model. You could use a photo-binder for actual movie art-work & info each in plastic sleeves. Well,...that my plan.

I've had one of Sony's mega changers. The novelty wore of really quick once I started using it. I actually had the BDP-CX7000ES version. The price amazon is quote is out to lunch for the CX960. Sony was blowing these out in the states for <$400. The picture and audio quality was fine, my biggest complaint with the unit was aggravatingly long load times moving between discs. It was simply too long for my liking. I ended up moving towards an HTPC where I've ripped my Blu collection 1:1 to HD's and now I have a seamless experience when transitioning between movies, something the CS960 just isn't capable of.

When I made the move to the CX960 I did however change my blu-ray storage needs and when I went to the HTPC I changes again. All my blu-rays are now stored in cupboards underneath my screen, for the exception of my Steelbooks, which for the most part are found in a shelf I made to the left of my screen.
