Paramount & Disney need to have a Hell in the Cell Match! Disney loses by DQ because of Pixar jumping in!

Paramount and Sony score really low in my book, because of the slow to no rollout of catalog titles

Universal's transfers are a total crap shoot - I seriously want to *****-slap the transfer folk around a bit.

Disney and Warner are my favorite studios

If we're talking PQ, AQ, and Special features, I'd probably have to say paramount. However, I must say I prefer Universal when it comes to packaging and package art. Universal seems to have stayed away from eco-cases for the most part. Call me crazy, but I'm kinda partial to the blank discs with just the blue lettering and blu-ray logo at the bottom of the disc.

Sony- the only time they screwed up they issued a replacement. All the other majors botch releases and don't fix them.

Out of those four Disney. Warner limits itself to those "Ultimate Collector's Editions" while leaving the standard like barebones. Paramount just releases movies for the heck of it. Sony hasn't made a major release recently, and Disney tries to reinvent the modern but sometimes is bad when it comes to bonuses (virtual vault)

I agree, but I myself am a "statistics" guy who likes to know the success of a movie or studio beyond the quality of the film in my eyes, but how well it did in box office, first week sales and review of disc quality.

Anyways, I think Disney does some of the best work, Criterion gives a full package as far as disc content and I can respect 20th Century Fox for being bold enough to release a few "only available as Blu-ray Combo pack" movies like Shame, Tree of Life and Another Earth, which I hope is picked up by every other studio soon so that Blu-ray is more accessible and prices go down because of this.

WB because they put out more catalogue titles and tvshows on bluray than any other studio plus they are region free you can't beat that other studios need to follow suit

I am going to have to say Universal. I love how they use DNR to their catalog titles. They know how to do blu-ray. Much better than distributors like Criterion, where all I see is film grain and digital noise.

Studio wise I would say Disney seem to be doing the best job. When you look at their classic animation release.

Outside the studios I would say Criterion and Kino. mostly because of the age of certain of the movies they handle and that what is available for them to work with sometimes, the results they achieve is close to miracles

I don't own any Disney films (didn't they just release the atrocious Color of Money BD?)
But I'd say Sony.

I mean really, judge the quality of disney bds based on The color of money?! Thats downright hilarious. Disney hands down produces the finest blus anywhere they are among the best in my collection i mean look what theyve done with 70 year old classics like Snow white, bambi, etc. They look better than most other blus released recently
