While looking at those pic's I noticed your signature...

2 SVS PB12+/2
2 SVS SB13's
1 SVS PB12+
1 SVS SB12
4 EMP Tek 1010i's

Is this just your subwoofer history, or do you actually own all those now?

That is my current lineup. Those are in 3 home theater setups. My history list is a bit longer. These subs will be paired with the pb12+/2's in my main room.

Here is an XV15 next to an SVS PB12+/2

Next to an SVS PB12+

Behind one of my couches, not sure if this is the final place or not.

No listening impressions yet Have to get the yard work done before I start playing with these!!! I think my wife will kill me when she looks behind the couch, we have no reason to get into that closet

I could stack them to the right of the closet to take up less floor space, but a 6ft high stack of these might look a bit scary!

How big is this room of yours? Half a dozen beastly subs sounds like an awful lot, unless it's the size of an airport hanger of course.

It is really only 5

The pb12+ has been taken off line.

The room is about 30x30 with 7 to 7.5 foot ceilings.

I calibrated with audyssey xt32 (denon 4311) and did minor listening with all subs engaged. Of course it sounded amazing. I turned off the 2 svs subs and it still sounded amazing. These subs are very powerful. I plan on watching the hunger games tonight to give them a proper workout.

So I did watch about 45 minutes of the hunger games last night. Did not get to any real action. There was a scene where a ship flies overhead that has some great bass. I hope to watch the rest tonight. There is so much added room pressurization that I think the best I can describe it is like a pillow of bass around my head. I was watching at -20 with the subs 3db hot.

3 Powersound XV-15's on the left side
2 SVS PB12+/2's on the right.

Room is 10x10

Just kidding, the room is close to 30x30 but is not totally open. There are closets and a staircase to break up the room.

The SVS subs were used. The were around 6 years old.

I paid under $900 for the pair of them.

I would say the 3 xv15's best them from what I have heard so far.

The bass just sounds so effortless now with all of them running

How do you like those power sounds compared to the SVS's? Are they the dual 15"? Single? ported or sealed?

I have 3 of the XV-15 ported subs.

I would say the 3 of them appear to be equivalent or more powerful than the 2 SVS pb12+/2's that are in the same room. Combined these are like nothing I have ever heard.

So after about a year of debating & researching outlaw, hsu, rythmik, svs, and recently psa, i've decided end the on going debating, so i've placed an order for a XV15. I'm thinking this will be a great step up from the current budget sub.

Will say communicating with Tom was very easy via email, and he was rather quick on responding to any questions/comments i sent...
