I'd say that The Life of Emile Zola is a definite since it was the first Warner film to win Best Picture (the ones before it have been acquired since)

Cimarron
Grand Hotel
The Great Ziegfeld
The Life of Emile Zola
Mrs. Miniver
The Best Years of Our Lives

sorry Yami, but these films are all incredible imo and I would love to have EVERY single one on blu-ray.
The Great Ziegfield and Grand Hotel are in particular need of a blu-ray upgrade, and I am really getting excited thinking that these seminal films may be finally on the way.
Around The World in 80 Days would also be particularly welcome, as I have been wondering for 6 years when this title would be released.
These films--
Greed
The Wind
The Big Parade
The Crowd

need to come to dvd or blu asap.
Warner spoke about Greed way back in 2005 I think, and I just don't understand what in the world has happened to it in the ensuing years.

I'd like to see every film on Blu-Ray! I have nothing against the films, it's just my opinion that most of them don't stand out within the unreleased Warner catalog or the list of Best Picture winners.

Of course,it's possible.I think these three titles are certain :The Best Years of Our Lives,Mr.Miniver (i'm not quite sure, but i think it was teased by Warner about year ago) and Around the World...(light,colorful movie...will look beautiful in HD).
Now,the other two....i think Driving Miss Daisy is pretty obvious choice too.Warner already release it in Germany...so why not in US as well?
I choose Grand Hotel over other movies simply cause of Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford. And set design looks great.IMO,it would sell a lot better than Zola.

I'm kind of with you. I collect AFI 100 titles so Best Years of Our Lives would be welcome but other than there are no must haves on that list and there are a lot of other Warner titles I want a lot more badly.

Obviously though, that said, the more the merrier...

I fully agree. Greed has worked its way onto iTunes but hasn't had a physical release. Blu-Ray releases with Carl Davis scores would be marvellous

I hear ya.
I honestly thought Grand Hotel would get released on blu in the first 2 years.
Boy I was really off on that.
Warner has been very strong with catalog overall, but have disappointed me with the dearth of 30's and 40's films, so all this new info finally gives me some hope.
Bogart, Hitchcock, Astaire/Rogers, Cagney, Bette Davis, James Dean, Garbo, Gangster; film noir box sets.
those are the films I really want on blu from Warner more than any others at this point.

IT was just announced for release as part of three pack (along with the TV remakes of The Shining and Salem's Lot) due this fall, on DVD. A blu-ray release seems unlikely.

Which is a bummer, 'cause its one darn good TV flick!

Here's hoping for a box of noirs. Their DVD sets were great.

I wouldn't worry about that I'm 100% sure that it will included among those five titles. That lavish production will look spectacular on Blu.Warner knows that. And,it's family film. Those type of films are usually selling very well.

I held off on getting into the Gangster sets because I figured with Blu-ray on the horizon, I should hold off. Would love to finally get into those. I'm happy to hear about House of Wax getting restored but I would be truly amazed if we got The Thing from Another World.

Also I'd like an awesome Batman trilogy box set with well deserved features.

Ahh I wish they could do/include the original 30fps Todd-AO version in addition to the 24fps version too
