Is anyone else surprised this isn't coming out as a double feature set?

I was pleased to see a newly-added extra, the full-length Lana Turner doc.

I wonder if either will ever show up in retail stores, or will they strictly be found on the Internet?

Anyone know why the remake BLU is being delayed? It hasn't had a release date attached to it in a while.

It's odd Amazon won't deliver this to me today (I have Prime) like usual.

Not complaining though as I have the Hitch set to keep me busy.

I wouldn't be surprised if it pops up at B&N from time to time but yeah, I wouldn't hop in the car expecting to find it anywhere.

I'm sure it will be eventually, if you can wait. WB tends to do that.

It would have to be 2 discs, so what would be the point? The 1946 disc has a file size of 38.21 GB. I suppose they could re-release it without any of the extras, but it still likely wouldn't fit, considering the film itself is 24.49 GB with a runtime of 113 minutes, while the 1981 version, with a runtime of 122 minutes, would assumedly be slightly larger.

Yeah. It will be two discs but one Blu case to save on packaging like the WB triple features that they've released in recent months. Cheaper than buying the individual titles but it may be awhile.

I wouldn't be surprised if this title goes to Warner Archives BLU program. You have to admit we are crazy about the title... but I bet WB's feels it is more of an Archive title, sales wise.

Great film with plot similarities to Double Indemnity and Body Heat. Excellent PQ presentation with a film-like appearance free of over sharpening or denoising. Solid black and grey levels. Im surprised blu-ray. Com has posted an official review.

Sorry to bump this, as I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, but I was on DVDPlanet and I noticed that the 1981 version was listed as available and available for shipping within 5-10 days. Is this even remotely possible?
