Lucky.

Caught the 3D trailer of Thor 2 Dark World before Iron Man 3 3D, and can't wait to check it out this November. Looks like Thor needs Loki's
[Show spoiler]help this time, as Loki is not the big villain this time?
3D looks great so far.

This one looks cool. The first Thor I enjoyed quite a bit, can't wait to see the improved 3D also, though I'll admit I did like the layering of Thor 1's 3D.

I'm guessing Thor is siding with Loki to help him this round?

Sooky Monster, is this playing this month in 3D by you?

If you see it soon, fill us in on the 3D.

From the trailer I saw, it looks like medium 3D. Not as good as Iron Man 3's or Avengers 3D, but I'll hold my 3D thoughts for the full movie.

The trailer for this on my Iron Man 3 blu ray looked great in 3D. It's not like really strong or anything, but it was good medium 3D. Really hoping this delivers on the action, as the first movie was slightly lacking in that department.

Good to hear. More action is welcome, though the first Thor made up for an average amount of action with the great rivalry of Loki and Thor, two friends at first... Good stuff.

Thanks for the info Eriaur. They do some nice work. RIPD has very good 3D. Wolverine pretty good too. Didn't see PJSOM.

Gee Stereo D must be busy. They also did Titanic, Star Trek and Jurassic Park. And I know im forgetting some more (Abe Lincoln)etc.

They really seem to have the market cornered along with Prime Focus and Legend 3D also doing some great work.

Yeah, very glad to see Prime Focus has finally begun improving their 3D reputation since, from what I remember, MIB 3 3D on. A lot does depend on the budget they get, and hopefully now, they can demand to some of the stingy studios who don't want to pay a lot for a conversion, that they'll do better in the long run to invest in a stronger conversion.

We'll see what happens with Thor 2's 3D. I hope it wasn't skimped on for the 3D budget.

Look forward to your 3D review Sookymonster. Be sure to catch up with Thor 1 3D if you have the disc before seeing Thor 2.

I saw this in 2D and I really liked the film. It was extremely funny and intense and I can easily say I think it's a better film than the first one (No offense Kenneth Branagh, you are still awesome).

However... I did see the 3D trailer on my Gravity screening and it was SO bad. It looked extremely flat, the crosstalk was off the charts and the entire thing looked rushed and quickly done for the sake of money.

I saw this last night and was pretty under whelmed actually. Of all the Marvel Studios films thus far, this is easily my least favorite.
I also didn't get much out of the 3D either. Save your dollars and go to a 2D screening.

I liked the movie a lot, a lot more action and the plot is interesting.

The 3D is well done too, nothing offensive , just nothing spectactular either.I would still see it like this than see it flat...

The 3D in the trailer didn't look too promising, agreed. Glad you enjoyed the movie and better than the first sounds good as I'm a fan of the first movie too. I was wondering too why they couldn't at least match the quality 3D of Avengers and Iron Man 3.

Weaker 3D from the sound of it, matching the trailer's mild to medium 3D?

Thanks Sookymonster. Lots of action sounds good. I saw an extended preview and it's better than the first trailer they showed.

Yeah, the 3D looks better than no 3D, but it sounds like they for some reason underbudgeted the 3D or rushed it out the door with weaker 3D.

I'll see for sure next weekend, though the trailer doesn't look great for 3D.
