I still wish I would have gotten the 2010 BD as it now sells for over $50!

Why so expensive? I bought the 2008 World Series BD last year, it was like 7 or 8 bucks on Amazon, brand new.

Congrats to the Giants!!! Amazing playoff run with 6 elimination game wins and sweeping the Tigers!!!

(White Sox fan here but would love to see the Cubs do that next year!!)

It's funny now that you mention it. Alot of A's fans don't really care about the Giants and will root for the Bay Area anyway. There is an atmosphere in SF & Oakland of indifference when it comes to the two MLB teams. Since our greatest rival will always be the Dodgers we really have no reason to hate on one another. But I'll be damned if I become an A's fan if they ever win it again! 1989 is still has a bitter taste in my mouth. This is also true of the NFL in the area however the fans are much more divided than MLB no matter how dressed up the media try's to make the Bay Area sports fans.

Me too. I made sure I got it quickly and for around $20.

still need to get 'Inside the Magic' on DVD though...haven't managed to buy that one yet.

I will be getting the the 2012 World Series Film Blu, and the games film set. Hopefully it has NLDS game 5, NLCS games 5 and 7, and all 4 of the world series games. the standard DVD set from 2007 had seven games from that post season, so here's hoping....

Definitely getting both the film and the series set. Too bad the 2010 series set was only on DVD.

The blu-ray for 2010 film must be out of print, because those prices on Amazon are much higher than original retail. It's not available through the Giants website shop either. Glad I got mine.

I hope the set allows you the option of switching off the Fox announcers to the local radio announcers like the 2010 one.

I agree, though I really wish they could squeeze NLDS game 3 as well. In retrospect, that was a pretty huge turning point and the game was a real nail biter! (transplant here, but family's still all split among Bay Area/San Jose/Santa Cruz region). I travel to different NL ballpark every year to be "an away fan," past Summer was Coors - thinking Wrigley for next Summer.
