It has an internal decoder for TrueHD but not for DTS-MA but it can bitstream it via HDMI to a newer reciever to decode.

Sounds like the BDP-96FD is going to be the way to go then. I am waiting to buy a really quality player, but I want it to do it all. The PS3 isnt a half bad stand in though

Default Can't upgrade frimware on 95FD

I've attempted times to upgrade my new Elite BDP-95FD player FW to 3.2 but always get a "can't read disc-data disc" message. Called Pioneer Canada who were to send me the update 4 weeks ago..nothing still.

Any suggestions. I've been trying several types of CD-R medium.

TIA

If you're gonna pay the same price then might as well get this:

http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/News...x?NewsId=22262

This is the new model (BDP-05FD) that was just announced at CES. It is PiP and BD-Live compliant.
