Still the lowest on AMZ this year. I think this will go down to 40 on BF. Worth the price even at 60$. Absolutely beautiful set !

I remember being incredibly pissed last year. I had waited an entire year for the Extended Editions to be released on Blu-ray and with no news of it happening , I finally bought the normal versions on Blu for around 75$ including shipping. One week later, the Extended Edition was announced to be released a month later

AMZ US BF deals calender is out. Check the Black Friday deals section.
Nothing much of interest though. Hoping for a good price on Bond.
No price cuts for Entourage or Friends.

I hope there'll be some sort of lightning deal on shows like Person of Interest and Nikita.

Buddy the LOTR set is available on Amazon Canada for CDN$ 52 inclusive of shipping..I have received it yesterday only..it comes out to less than Rs. 3000..

^Why would you want the Terminator anthology, which features a dated HD transfer of the first (and best film), completely demolished by the video quality of the new BD available UK-side?

Edit: Also, T3 in the US edition only has a lossy DD track while the UK edition from Sony has a Dolby TrueHD track.

Yeah, I think you're right. I just checked what I bought last year and Superntaural, Vampire Diaries and The Big Bang Theory were on sale. It was a 1 day deal and I remember them not being advertised in the calendar. The prices were ridiculously low.

Personally, I'll be buying loads of TV shows as movies usually go on sale from time to time and even if they don't, they aren't THAT expensive. Some of these shows however usually run at 50$ per season!.
I don't know if HBO shows like True Blood will go on sale. And no, Season 5 will be released next year

. I liked Season 4 much more than season 3.

Right now, I'm planning to buy Person of Interest season 1, 2 Broke Girls season 1, and Nikita season 1 & 2.
Nikita is actually pretty awesome and fills the void left by Alias very well.

Oh, and as for LOTR, the Canadian release is by Alliance and while they used the same masters as New Line Cinema in the US, I would advise you to go with the US version. Personally, I wouldn't take a chance with an important movie like LOTR.

You know what's really irritating? The regular version of The Hobbit will be released on blu-ray sometime in March/April followed by an extended edition in December 2013 to coincide with the release of The Hobbit part 2.

I'm using blu-ray.com's price tracker to keep a tab on the BDs I'm interested in. I'll get an email alert the second there is a reduction.

It is by alliance but it has the same master and is as good as the US version..Packaging is the same..

Not really a BF deal, but Amazon UK has the 5 movie Superman set for £12.50. Any Superman fan may consider picking it up at that price..

BF or no BF , any purchase on Amazon.com is going to attract customs duty. May as well take advantage of BF to offset some of the custom duty payments
