Saw this @ CinemaCon.

Laughed like crazy, it was so funny. Will be a big hit, can't imagine it not being a massive success.

Saw it tonight... As a film, it's pretty standard buddy cop fare. You know all the beats and can see them coming a mile a way. What saves the film is McCarthy & Bullock. They have good chemistry and there are some pretty funny moments. If you liked the trailer you'll more than likely like the movie.

One other note, there is a scene in the movie that contains REALLY REALLY Bad CGI explosion. I'm curious to see if this was some sort of temp cut, as it really stood out. Even my daughter leaned over and whispered how bad it was.

Then you should love the movie! It's funny, it has a R rating in the US but 14A here in BC. There are a ton of F-bombs, I'd say easily over 100. I overheard people talking about it, and it seems most people really liked it.

Have watched this trailer several times and it looks really funny.

Not much of a major fan of Melissa McCarthy though I have been a Sandra Bullock fan since childhood and am interested to see how her performance is in this film.

From what I have seen so far it kinda reminds me of Miss Congeniality

Very similar in certain aspects, albeit a 'R' rated one. And much better movie.

Really? That's cool. I would love to see this but I will probably wait till the movie comes out on Blu-ray and blind buy it.

Oh. My. God. This movie was absolutely HORRIBLE. I think I laughed a total of 4 times and the rest of the movie was just painful. I could not wait for it to end. Only two movies rank lower for this year so far - Vehicle 19 and Spring Breakers.

BUT... the lonely cat ladies that made up 90% of the audience were all cackling and howling like crazy throughout the film at every lame attempt at humor, so sadly this movie will probably do quite well.

I know of three other people who have seen advanced screenings and they said it was absolutely hilarious. You might be in the minority . Out of curiosity what did you think of Bridesmaids?

Agreed that it wasn't the best movie, and if you didn't laugh then it would be pretty bad. But I laughed enough times to have enjoyed the movie.

Cinemaphile notoriously hates Melissa McCarthy (and Rebel Wlson) [presumably because they're both thicker women ] so if he came in here saying it was anything other than "horrendous/awful/utter shit", I probably would've had a stroke.

But to each is their own. I'm going to a screening Tuesday and I am already expecting to be pissing myself by the end of the film.

Because you two are the same person .

Even Identity Thief was fairly enjoyable with a sold-out audience, IMO. I fully expect The Heat to be better though.

Dont start this again. I DO hate Wilson , but not because of size. Its her annoying personality, total un-funniness, and complete lack of talent.
McCarthy can be funny, like in Bridesmaids, but a little of her goes a long way. This is just another 2 hours of her doing her same schtick, just this time adding hundreds of f-bombs.
