Sorry we haven't tried online yet, and I figure we'll be staying offline till this gets sorted out.

Thank you, I already deleted the update I will reinstall the disc data and disable internet as well.

It's hard to say for sure my 10 year old boy loves it and has no issues except for the hard challenge missions and my 5 year old girl struggles with what to do and how. She plays Lego games fairly well and only needs help once in a while (for comparisons sake).

On a separate note, I stopped by a different TRU on my lunch break. I bought the Francisco figure and also got the TRU exclusive power disc album for 50% off (the TRU exclusive version holds the standard and TRU exclusive discs). I also picked up a couple more packs of the discs, mainly got doubles of what I already have. I hate blind packs!
I'll give you a tip. You can buy those disc blind packs and put them on that scanner base to find out what they are before opening the package. So buy a couple and if they contain items you already own, take them back to the store and exchange them or get a refund.

Picked this up on launch day and I really like it.

Missing 5 figures and only 9 power disc.

Shouldn't this be moved to the gaming section as it isn't out on the next gen consoles. And why the hate in the title Op? I never did get into Skylanders but they are cool too. Granted they came out first but no need to have such a bias title.

I agree. While a lot of people will make the comparisons to skylanders this game is far different and miles ahead of that one. I got this on launch day for my 5 year old (and me too lol) and he absolutely loves it. He loves it way more than skylanders. I would say Infinity has way more replay value, better production value, and rewards creativity.

Awesome game. I am very impressed and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Took this blurb off the net - Wow didn't realize problems out there:

It's been a bit of a bumpy launch for Disney Infinity so far. Along with the PS3 issues, Wii U players are upset over lack of support for the Classic Controller and Pro Controller — the box says both should work — while original Wii owners have been disappointed to discover that their version of the game is the only one that does not support local cooperative play in adventure mode. Congratulations, Xbox 360 owners — you've won Disney Infinity roulette

Thank you I'll have to try that one. I got everything just need 5 more disk for the first series. I would have never thought it would have read through the rapper.

I do not think it is supposed to. I have not seen this plastered over the internet though, I have a friend who works for Best Buy who told me. As soon as the world realizes this, I'm sure Disney will change their wrappers.

I've been at the Unofficial Disney Infinity forums and a lot of people have been talking about this. The only problem I have had with mine is freezing (xbox). Other then that I count myself lucky then.

Doesn't work. When you put a power disc on the scanner it starts the video demo just telling you how they work and not specifically what they are. At least at all the demo units around me.

This is the video you get when you pop a PD on the base.

PD
You don't do it at the store. You do it at home. You still have to buy the bag, but you can find out what is in it without opening it. Then you are free to return the unopened bag back to the store.

FYI

If you have a TRU near you they have a BOGO 50% and also BOGO for $1 on the power disc packs.

Walmart has the best price on the side kick and villains pack at $14.96 online.

Target has the Lone Ranger and Cars playset for $17.50 each

And Amazon/Kmart are selling individual figures for $12.99 vs the $13.99 at most places. Avoid GS and BB are their prices are MSRP. BB is good from PM'ing but that is about it.

Also....TRU has a exclusive Crystal Lighting McQueen figure and also exclusive power disc pack containing Mike's Car from Monsters Inc.
FYI the power packs each contain one of Mikes car and random. So don't buy a bunch of the TRU ones thinking you'll get a different exclusive.

Thanks! I'll have to give that I try.

I should have thought of that. I've seen people put the Skylanders figures still in the box on the portal on store displays. And when I bought Francisco the other day, for the heck of it I put him on my Infinity base/portal while still in the box and it worked.

I may go to TRU later today and just buy a bunch of packs, try them out, and then return what I don't need.

Ebay scalpers have been having a field day with the TRU exclusive McQueen. Luckily there were plenty left on Sunday when I got mine, but by the next day all of the stores in my area were wiped out (I checked availability online).

I'm disappointed that the only TRU exclusive disc out now seems to be Mike's car. There are supposed to be others available at some point, including several Tron themed ones, and Scrooge McDuck's lucky dime (which I REALLY want). But all exclusive packs as of now only seem to have Mike's car. Even on ebay, the only exclusive disc being sold individually is Mike's Car. I'm sure the scalpers would be throwing the others up there for profit if they were available.

Do you need to have the figurines to play? Can you just have a system and controller to play?

I went to Toys R Us on my lunch break and picked up 10 packs of discs. I plan to check them in the package after I get home, and then return any that don't have anything new in them.

I just hope there won't be a problem with any packs that come with both a round disc and hexagonal disc, since those get placed on different parts of the base.

You do have to have figures to play, but the starter pack comes with most everything that you need. For the worlds of Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Incredibles, you get one figure each, and the piece to access those respective worlds. You can use any figure in the general "Toy Box" area, but when going to the movie-specific worlds, you have to use a character from that world. The starter kit gives you everything you need to play single player or online multiplayer with those characters/worlds.

For local multiplayer in specific individual worlds, you will need to get a second figure from each world.

And separate from all of this, if you want to play in the Cars or Lone Ranger worlds, you have to buy those respective packs which each come with 2 figures and then the piece of unlock those worlds.

When you get a package that has a round in it will tell you to move it where the figure goes and tells you what power you have. I did it yesterday just need 3 more to get them all.

I just got the starter pack and bought Mike (Monsters, Inc) and Mater (Cars) and I'm having so much fun on this game. I was worried I needed the Cars pack to play with Mater but I don't!
