I haven't seen Spiderman 3 yet. We were set to see it in theatres a few times but plans fell through so it'll be new to me.

number 3 has mixed reviews some say its wonderful the best one yet and some say its the worst one of them all. well my take on it is number 3 kicks ass but they never once said Venom's name at all. but other than that a lot of action and a movie you will watch more then once

Spidey 3 was good but I can see why people say it's the worst of the 3. I'd probably agree but that doesn't mean it sucks. It had some questionable sequences but the rest of the movie more than made up for it.

I guess my Spider-Man DVD does fill the screen. I like movies that are done in 16:9 for the bigger picture, but not when they have been modified. Oh well. They should start filming all movies in 16:9!

They probably changed it because 1.85:1 is close enough to 1.78:1 (16:9) that OAR (Original Aspect Ratio) fans aren't likely to get that upset (not like 2.35:1 to 1.78:1) and people who don't like black bars will be happy not to have little ones (if they didn't have overscan that got rid of them anyway). I prefer OAR in general, but am generally fine with 1.85:1 being converted to 1.78:1 to get rid of all bars.
