Hi everyone,
last night I watched "The Dark Knight" on BD again, for the first time in a long while, and the transfer looked truly hideous to me. Back when it came out, I thought it looked pretty good, not stellar, like some claimed, but perfectly acceptable, but yesterday I was severly distracted by the overly processed look, the EE, the DNR, the bandings, ringing, and other instabilities, almost to the point where I wanted to watch something else. I was shocked at how bad it looked. Luckily, I don't like the film much anyways, but I remembered it looking much better. So, has there ever been a time when you watched one of your beloved BDs again, and it turned out to be a disappointment on repeat viewings?? Another example would have to be SW- Episode I: The Phantom Menace. I was quite please the first time around, since it was a monumental upgrade from the atrocious DVD, but now it is much more of a disappointment to me, as I would love it to look as great as it can. So, what are yours? Or am I the only one? |
