This seems very soon for a 2013 release..

That is pretty weird, as it just came out in April. Maybe they're doing the Twilight Time 3000-copy print runs (plus or minus) but not telling people in advance because they didn't expect to sell that many and another print run wouldn't be cost-effective. Well, I've got my copy, though I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. Need to do that soon!

YMMV but I bought this for 3$ shipped at GoHastings and they shipped the digipack version. I don't think they released it any other way but not sure.

Yes I watched it. Wasn't so happy about the way they filmed it or produced it but it was a good movie.

What did you like about the filming. I personally loved it. Added a true sense of realism to the story.

Thanks, I just ordered it off gohastings too for $3.95 with shipping. I love the story of WH so will be curious how this version is. My fav version is the 1992 one though.

I ordered a copy when I found out that it was OOP from the OOP thread.

I was really surprised by the packaging. There is a slipbox...and a slipcover.

This is a bit of a long shot, but I recently purchased this previewed from GoHastings.com and unfortunately it came without cover art. Anybody able to help me out by scanning their covers?

And yet a decade later you can still buy it on their online shop...

Speaking of which, is there any consensus about the apparent dodgy colour on the US release compared to the UK mentioned earlier in this thread?

It'd be easier for me to pick up the AE version as I'm in the UK myself, but I'm going to be buying a few things from Oscilloscope this weekend and am mulling over whether to add this to the basket...

Yikes, I don't know about director's intent, but the desaturation on the US disc looks distractingly ugly. It also looks a wee bit sharpened compared to the UK transfer. I love my AE disc, even if it is barebones.

I've seen everything else Arnold has done and am a fan, but I've never bothered with this as I'm not usually one for period dramas. If it weren't for the fact I'm ordering from OScope anyway I might never have gotten round to it, but when in Rome and all that...

If it really is bad though then I might steer clear and maybe eventually get the AE disc.

Given I've never seen it though, it's not like I have any frame of reference for how I expect it to look. I'm not much of a technical geek when it comes to these things anyway so I wonder whether I'd even notice? My setup is incredibly basic too so more often than not I'm drawn more by extras than anything technical...

First world problems ay?
