Total nostalgia movie for me ; watched it on VHS all the time in the mid-90's. Haven't seen it in years... but to this day, it's probably still better than either of the live action films (particularly "Legend of Chun-li")

Have to agree with everyone else about the American dub with the rock soundtrack ; I saw a clip of the Japanese version on YouTube once and I though the music sounded way too upbeat.

I remember playing it late at night, in a video store I used to work in. The scene where Guile threatens Bison came up and there was some appalled parent, not quite sure how cartoons could be so potty-mouthed, lol

I remember watching it on Sci-Fi. I used to record all the Anime they showed, think it used to be a Thursday or a Saturday night? They had a block dedicated to Anime. Used to have 2 films back to back.

First time I saw the Overfiend films was on there, they used to show a lot of classics

I watched the international edition last weekend and it's still just as good today.

I love the Deejay scene.

The soundtrack is excellent, the scenes where Ryu is training in the mountains

Hi guys. Has anyone picked up or going to pick up the French copy soon?

I'm planing on getting the UK version in May and I'm guessing the new transfer will be the same as the French one.
Would really like to see a few screenshots of the new master.

Cheers

P.S That front cover is awesome!

No, because it's not English friendly.

Hmmm. Have to hope someone in France uploads some pictures then.
Really want to see what the new transfer looks like. May is a long time to wait.

Would of thought most Blu ray nuts would have multi-region players :/

I'm sure cap means it's in French... Not that it's region locked, which wouldn't make a difference since we are both Region B anyway

Sorry I'm tired, of course it's the same region lol it's bloody next door to the UK

Temptation to import it is getting hard to fight. Why can't I just wait till May :/

If I could understand French/Japanese I'd be importing it too

But as it stands I can't speak any of them so I'll have to wait

I really need to read the international forums more often... this looks VERY promising! I almost bought a used copy of the US Anchor Bay DVD, but I'm glad I held off! Considering this played in Japanese theaters, there's no reason this can't have a nice HD transfer. Hell, has there even been an anamorphic DVD?

I found a few 720 res images of the new master. Not amazing shots by any means but it does look a ot better than any of the previous releases.

EDIT: Some more..

Looks damn good to me! And that one shot certainly confirms its uncut status

I haven't noticed it elsewhere for pre-orders. Probably better off waiting for it to come out then buying it. Zavvi will probably do it for cheaper

Very tempted to get this. Of course I said the same thing with the JP BD of Ninja Scroll, then the UK got a steelbook and the US got a release.
I would like to think this release is much more popular, and should get the same wide release.

French version apparently IS English friendly, as per here:
http://www.kentaiblog.com/?zx=7303d8a9d1135242

That's me not waiting until May, for the exact same disc.
