I'll bet the PS3 optimisations SCE and Epic are making to the Unreal Engine 3 are filtering through to these developers now. Unreal Tournament III will probably still be the most solid game of the bunch for a while.

Finally, the PS3 version of Stranglehold is out in stores Today! (at least EBgames/Gamestop). The Collectors Ed. as you all know snags you the game and Hard Boiled (in full 1080p) on one Blu-ray. From what I have read in reviews (UK reviews) the PS3 version is the definitive version with both a stabilized frame rate, and imporved control sensitivity over the 360 version. I don't need to say much else as I am sure you all know enough about it. Just wanted to give you all a heads up!

I've been following up on this game since it was announced and I'm very glad that this game didn't flop like other ps3 games have. I did want to ask one question, there is a regular version of stranglehold and a collectors edition of stranglehold. The difference being that the collectors edition has the movie Hard Boiled and the regular version does not. It is worth it to have the movie and the game on one disc. Is the movie of Hard Boiled the same as the standalone version?

Yeah it's the same movie you get as a stand alone, but it is in HD which as of yet there is no HD version of the movie available. The picture Quality is superior to the original DVD release and has scene selection, subtitles, and naturally cantonese and english vocal tracks. Make no mistake it's not a full Blu-ray expierence but for an HD version of the film for only 10 bucks I can live with that. Also worth noting the movie can not be played with out a PS3 as the movie is launched through the game menu.

I've got the Criterion cut of this film so any improvement will be a bonus. I've got my fingers crossed that it will play on my UK PS3.....
