Not all 2.5" sata fit..hitachi makes a few oddball ones that are taller than the standard. Partitions are currently maxed out at 205GB so don't think your going to be able to benefit from the full 320GB until they do a firmware update.

Not for the GameOS...When I installed my new 250GB it reported 205GB in system info..and then I reformatted it to partition 10Gb for Linux and the rest for the GameOS...It's a simple yes or no kind operation with the GameOS being a single partition AFAIK.

....so with a larger drive, you go with max 205gb partition for the game os, then you could set up another partition to do whatever, run linux, store non-game media files
correct? Or the max that the PS3 will see *period* is 205gb?

That's a lot of pr0n.

Is there an internal limit on how much HDD Space the PS3 can recognize?

Has anyone tried formatting/partitioning a drive with 2.00?

Ummm..I kind of whipped thru it in my excitement to have more space .. but I'm about 75% sure it was 205GB total and the 10GB Linux partition came out of that 205GB leaving 195GB for the game OS. And no I'm not dyslexic in regards to the 205 vs 250 numbers

It should, you won't find any information or reviews yet since it has not yet been released...hard drivers are not like movies and such, typically a HDD manufacturer doen't send out new drives to test and review...
