It's too good a movie to not have after the long wait.
Your sending the wrong message to the studios.
With your purchase, you're telling them that it is ok to cut corners, when it comes to releases on Blu-ray.
Because people will buy them anyway.

If this does turn out to be the same crappy transfer as before, then everyone should boycott it.
Time to send a clear message to the cheapskate studios.

Came close to picking up the current disc for $6. Now I'm glad I hesitated.

Does anyone actually think this will be a new transfer or have HD sound? I would really love it if it did but I am not getting my hopes up. The re-release of Goodfellas comes to mind

The studios should realize, that if they made it a priority to release every movie/concert on Blu-ray,
with the best picture and audio quality available, sales would surely increase.

it's sort of bewildering that the press release makes no mention that it's a remaster (let alone a 4K transfer) - unless it's not, but still ...

Same here, I've held off buying this film for years due to the current release's PQ. A film I've wanted so badly to buy and replace my DVD copy.

It's Warner Bros., so the chances of a remaster are slim and none.

And slim was just seen getting on the last Greyhound bus out of town.

Not only will this be a remaster, Warner has been scanning most of their catalog titles at 4K in the past year, or two. The Fugitive will be 4K guaranteed.

After all it's still Warner Bros.

BTW - If indeed it is a remaster, why was there no mention of it in the press release?
Sounds pretty fishy to me.

Jim Bowers is friend with the Warner Bros Master Colorist, everything he said happened in the past including Outlaw and Dangerous Liaisions.
Warner Bros has been amazing in the last 3 years with the quality of their catalog Blu-rays

If indeed it is a remaster with lossless audio, why was there no mention of it in the press release?
Sounds pretty fishy to me.
