We needed the excitement in our lives

Also, if you don't moan early, you never know, they might become a reality

I'll probably reserve one assuming it's 3D included and the artworks brilliant but they're taking the pi*s tbh.
I've jsut said pretty much the same thing over on HDN. lol

They had catalogue titles released for £9.99-£14.99 and new titles usually £14.99-£19.99 (with maybe 3 exceptions ie Prometheus) compared to Zavvi's recent prices that are clearly creeping up - WFRR was £14.99, Aladdin £17.99...even if these prices come down I'm expecting £19.99

Haha, some people are overreacting. Zavvi nearly always list for a higher price initially, I thought most people knew this by now

£19.99 is still a bit 'high' but I suppose Life of Pi is a good example of a 3D included movie steelbook that sold well at a bit higher. Iron Man 3 is arguably more popular, but I still think they're trying to push the pricing boundaries ever higher.

This got announced along with The Little Mermaid and Jungle Book. They shouldn't have gone live to the public so soon so expect the price to drop.

And guys this is Disney we are talking about don't expect this to include the 3D copy of the film.

yeah I know but I think the views are that people would pay the silly price IF Disney include a 3D disc

thank you

seems to be at least one reasonable person in this thread

Plus if it ends up being 27 quid this will be released by every country expect the U.S , everyone has plenty of options for something cheaper so buy it or don't and move on.

It's always nice to see such a 'reasonable' person. Amazon are usually the only 'reasonable' options we have now since Zavvi are practically an international e-tailer. We don't have the luxury of picking up a Best Buy, FutureShop version etc.

So yeah, selling a release that is likely going to be 2D for a price that's over £17.99 at most is taking the pi*s

But UK members wont ever have that problem of having to pick up a Disney title internationally from FS or BB because Disney will never do steels In Canada or the U.S.

Disney is screwing Canada and U.S. Real hard ,any country that gets Disney releases should be so lucky regardless of price its better then nothing because when Disney did do steels for the U.S they where $30-$40

Anything under £20 is a decent price for a new release Steelbook. A couple of years ago most were happy to pay £17.99 or even £19.99 for any old tat released in a Steelbook.

Not really, and dont forget, the first waves of 15 odd Disney steels(iron and/or metal packs) were US and CA exclusives with NO option of shipping to UK or elsewhere.
At least your lucky that Zavvi WILL ship to UK.

Your still getting the better deal IMO, especially regarding Disney steels.

I believe only Hulk from the Marvel series was the only steel not produced in UK and US/CA that didnt offer i'national shipping

It was my only concern when I hear that Disney bought the rights was that the steelbook would keep the same high standards that Paramount set.

To be fair Disney did well with The Avengers steel. But obviously in the UK they won't include the 3D copy.

I wonder if this will look like the German steelbook. That ones only €16.99 and has the 3D copy too.

Disney did well on the steel case (best steel/metal pack out there IMO), but the disc and content were a shambles
