They could've put at least a little effort into the cover...

Looks like there were a few versions but I guess the B&W one is the original poster? At least it's similar to the original and they removed the "STREISAND & REDFORD TOGETHER!" punchline.

The German version is listed as being region B. Can anyone confirm that it is region free and can be played on a US player. If so I will cancel my Twilight time order. Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know if the German release features the same extras with the TT release except for the commentary of the TT people, and the isolated score track?

I have the Italian release and it has the title in five different languages on the disc art, one of them being German, so it's probably the same disc. It's also coded as "A,B,C". The only extra feature is this (in SD):

Making-Of Documentary: A Look Back (61 minutes), featuring new interviews with Barbra Streisand and Sydney Pollack.

Question

http://www.ifccenter.com/films/the-way-we-were/

Is it possible that the 4K digital restoration of THE WAY WE WERE (described in this article) is the source for the 1080p presentation of the Twilight Time Blu-ray version of the film?

Just received the Dutch Blu-ray off of eBay. It's a SONY release and Region Free. I haven't watched it yet though. The artwork on the front is nice. It's the close-up picture of Barbra and Robert that's on the TT booklet.
Only paid $18.

Personally, I was pretty underwhelmed. I found myself not really caring about the characters and found them to be a bit unlikeable. I liked score though.

The new Wild Side Blu-ray adds a 43 minute interview with Pollack from 2000, shot by Robert Fischer. DVDCompare makes no reference to forced subtitles.

Thanks! All these damn Syndey Pollack extras I'm having to hunt down international discs for! He can't even get recognition in his own country's releases!!

Just a warning for those interested in the Wild Side (French studio) release of the movie in DVD+BD combo in a beautiful mediabook packaging, the dics has forced French subtitles when playing the English audio.
