While Smurfs will most likely win, do you guys really think it will do 50-60 million? where are you guys getting those predictions from? The 1st one released the same week a few years ago - late July and did under $40 million. I think it had a lot more buzz than this one does.

1. the smurfs 2
2. the wolverine
3. 2 guns

Smurfs 2 only did $5 million yesterday. Seems really low. That's not much more than turbo did

That OD is very similar to Turbo's opening. I don't think it'll cross $100 million domestic with Percy Jackson and Planes coming next weekend. Could be saved overseas though.

Just saw Wolverine....this movie is awesome!!! I think it will get seem traction in week 2. My vote was Wolverine.

Early Thursday estimates have Smufs 2 grossing $4.4 million. That's about a 15-20% drop from the OD, which is much better then Turbo.

That's $9.6M in 2 days. The first Smurfs made $25.8M in 2 days.
