This had the potential to be a slightly enjoyable piece of shit, but there was only good kill and the characters are dumb as shit. The opening scene is one of the worst I've ever seen in horror. If you're going to have nudity, at least have nudity from the great looking main characters, not from the unattractive and flabby characters who die first.

I wish they had a new serial killer instead of using Rusty Nail again. It looks like he's learned to be tech-savvy within the last 12 years. Having Ken Kirzinger as Rusty Nail isn't scary at all. I actually find him kind of hot. He's tall and thick (not fat).

Two characters also get into a really bad car wreck (their SUV flips too many times to count) and they only end up with a scratched forehead.

Also, if you decide to watch this, pay attention to the lead blonde female's hair. It changes throughout the film.

so this series is called Joy Ride in the US, its called Roadkill in UK/AUS

so the US will release the 3rd as Joy Ride 3: Roadkill
wonder if we'll have Roadkill 3: Roadkill or Roadkill 3: Joy Ride

Loved the first kinda liked the 2nd.

Thumbs down

I actually really enjoyed the second "Joy Ride," but this second straight-to-DVD sequel is unfortunately pretty terrible. Leave it to Declan O'Brien to ruin another Direct-to-DVD horror series (The "Wrong Turn" movies took a turn for the worst after a surprisingly awesome second installment when he took over). Fox should have been hiring "Wrong Turn 2" Director Joe Lynch for these movies. No clue why he never came back after his sequel was actually pretty well-received. He hasn't done much since then.

Anyway, Fox, please stop hiring Declan O'Brien. Thank you.

4/10 (D+)

^ I shot most of the ADR for Joe's next project. He's a great guy to work with, and I think he's quite talented. Still need to check out his Wrong Turn sequel.

Got mine today from FoxConnect.

No slip, but it does have a little cardboard facecard, similar to the one on Wrong Turn 3.

EDIT: Actually, if you plug the UPC into this site, it comes up with the Best Buy exclusive. And the cardboard does say "Limited Edition Killer Packaging". So it looks like FoxConnect is shipping the Best Buy exclusive.

The actual case looks like this:

The removable facecard outside the shrink wrap looks like this (minus the blue "Blu-ray Disc" top and with a UV Digital sticker on it):
