I just picked these up yesterday. Here's a quick amateur review:

HALLOWEEN 4:

Video: AVC 1:85.1 (1:28:17) a little soft, but very filmic, thin layer of grain with very pleasing colours. Zero print damage. Overall, very nice. 21.1 GB Stream.
Audio: Dolby True HD 5.1

Special Features:
  • Commentary with Ellie Cornell & Danielle Harris
  • Halloween 4 & 5 Discussion Panel (SD 18:29)
  • Theatrical Trailer (SD 1:37)

HALLOWEEN 5:

Video: AVC 1:85.1 (1:37:03) A little gate weave & minor print damage early on (in the recap scenes), a little soft, but very filmic, thin layer of grain with very pleasing colours. Overall, very nice. Very similar quality to 4. 23.2 GB Stream.
Audio: Dolby True HD 5.1

Special Features:
  • Commentary with Dominique Othenin-Girard, Danielle Harris & Jeffrey Landman
  • Halloween 5 On The Set (SD 16:17)
  • Theatrical Trailer (SD 0:37)

Part 2's coming Oct 16, now bring on part 3!

Edited to reflect correct AR.

Can you confirm the Aspect Ratio.. it should be 1.85:1?

Pixel count is 1920x1080, no black bars on my tv. I think that's 1.78:1.

Interesting.. wonder if it's an open matte transfer or if it's been cropped. Any overscan on your TV?

I'd say you got a bum disc there. As for the cover art, your best bet is to ask Anamnesis.

any idea if H6 and H20 will be released here?? I'm wondering if they will be different prints cause I have heard the already released prints are pretty bad. I would love an audio commentary for H20

Default Audio Sync Issues????

Purchased 4 & 5 today and have just finished watching 4.

Ive just contacted Umbrella as there is an audio sync issue the takes place from about the 42min mark, and returns in sync at roughly 57mins.

Can anyone else check their copy and report back?

Yeah but it seems to start later than that and seems to drift out of sync to almost half a second before it drifts back. Very annoying I didn't spot this when I scanned the discs earlier.

It's annoying that a commentary track was left off both these blu rays. The UK and US versions both have two.

Cool, thanks for sharing! It's not up on Madman's site yet so not sure what they are doing

Same here. Halloween 5 seems to be fine but there is a definite audio sync problem with 4.

Seems to have been questioned in North America thread:

I always wonder what Tina is actually saying in Part 5 when she's in Mike's car, talking to "Mike". It's right before she says about stopping for cigs or something. There's like 2 lines that don't match what she's saying. It's been way too long since I saw it in the theater and I wouldn't remember it anyhow. If I remember right, both DVD's I have are the same way. So I'm guessing the lines must of been dubbed before theatrical release or home video release.
And even yesterday...

I was wondering if it's a known issue or if it just might have been my system for some reason that didn't play nice with it.

The video looked very nice. I enjoyed it and I still think it has one of the best endings in the series.

So it has been questioned before on U.S release, but mixed answers. Maybe its there on starz/anchor bay also, but no one else has spotted it?
