So we're getting a Signature Edition of "The Bells of St. Mary's"? Hopefully this is a restored/rescanned version? I guess we'll know more soon...

If the specs are good, I'll gladly double-dip!

Almost certainly sourced from the same 4K restoration as the recent UK release.

I'm a big Ingrid Bergman fan and I've never actually owned this one so I might have to get this.

I actually now plan to give this to my mom for Christmas, she LOVES this movie! ^_^

Seeing is how Paramount restored this in 4K, I bet that is what Olive will use.

Does anyone know if the mask over part of the opening credits is gone with this restoration?

The two movies were basically "Touched By An Angel" commercials for how mean-people get their problems solved by going to church again...And see, big-city Catholic churches aren't harsh, conservative and scary; Bing's a priest, and he's fun! He even gets Sister Ingrid to have fun, too! )
It wasn’t that as Going My Way was produced first and at the end Father O’Malley is called to another church leading into Bells of St. Mary’s, Bells was made after the success of Going My Way being released a year later by RKO as the director wanted his name to be in the title (Leo McCarey’s The Bells of St Marys) and to have more creative freedom
