Thank god these are (in my opinion) ugly as sin, now I don't feel compelled to buy them.

Only one I'll probably buy is 2001, and I'll stick to digibooks for this and FMJ, and my us standard release for The Shining.

i like the designs, ordered this and The Shining to go with my canadian 2001 steelbook.
and yes they are WB so they are region free.

On their own they're not that exciting, but I'd definitely like a set of all the Kubrick films with this design, that'd look pretty clean. I feel the same about the recent Miyazaki steels, I like them much more as a package deal. So here's hoping they put out all the Kubricks with this design. Especially Eyes Wide Shut, one of my all time favourite films.

Didnt except any better to be honest. Knew it was matte. Knew it was streaky. Its ok.

Got my first copy in the states yesterday.
I like it. Never would have guessed that some day a copy of this movie might have embossed eyelashes.

I have four words for you:

"Singin' In the Rain!"

I first saw this on pirate video in 1988 in my film studies class. I couldn't believe what I was seeing (bad picture quality aside!), but someone beside me started laughing and that set us all off! I'm not sure why it was this scene that kicked off the laughter: but Orange is now one of my favourite Kubrick films.
