I would love to have Reservoir Dogs again, but completely remastered. I sold off my copy a while back... great movie, but still not a huge loss considering the weak transfer it got.

Same goes for American Psycho.

I would've kept Reservoir Dogs (in case you wanted to see it again), until a new remastered version is released. I agree the transfer wasn't that good but, something is better than nothing.

That's the only reason I'm holding on to my old DVD flipper.

I would have bought this by now if it wasn't for the poor video quality, but it probably won't see a remaster.

Chronos*
The Dark Knight
Jurassic Park
Terminator 2

*The current release is in MPEG-2 and while it's good for that codec, it's just not good enough. If the picture quality improves in a later release, I will double dip.

All of them! This format obviously sucks and not one title has been done right, ever.*

* How I think most of the posters here view the world, semi-joking although I'd bet there is maybe 10 titles worldwide that all could agree are good A/V quality, cuz most hate everything.

A lot of the Blu-rays mentioned in this thread look impressive to me.

Unforgiven, High Noon, Predator (1st Blu-ray edition), Ghostbusters (even the 1st Blu-ray edition), Dial M for Murder, Notorious, Spellbound, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Sixteen Candles, and even the first Rocky film.

I may not necessarily pick them as demo discs, and I'm sure that some better transfers would be possible if studios pumped a lot of money into restorations and such, but the above movies look fine on my set considering the source material.

I'd like for Goldeneye to have a better transfer, but I happily bought the existing Blu-ray, because it still looks a lot better than my old DVD looked.

I'll concede, however, that my standards are lower than those of others here. Generally, if a Blu-ray edition of a movie outshines the DVD transfer, then I'm good to go.
