Probably somewhere between 10K and 15K. Worth every penny except for the ones my wife wanted.

164.35. But I'm a n00b.

I'm happy with what I've spent so far, especially since I try to find deals and coupons and such. There's a couple I haven't watched yet, but for the most part, been through 'em all.

Ugh, it gives me a headache/stomach ache. It has been 12 years of collecting, from DVD's then rebuying all Blu-rays where I now have 850.

I'd say I've spent $20,000 between DVD's and Blu-rays. Most Blu-rays have cost me $15-$20. Most DVD's were $10-$15.

I'm starting to sell off some of the blu-rays I'll never watch, but I'm losing money on each one I sell.

I could use an extra 20 grand!

I'd say around 5k. I understand for the most part a lot of my stuff isn't worth much but don't plan on selling.

Talking BD & DVD & VHS collection!

Don't know the exact figure, but it is enough!

Really did not start buying a lot of bds/dvds, no VHS anymore(although I'm looking at this VHS title for Christmas - 'the stingiest man in town'), until my career was over(2yrs. ago, actually started w/VHS during the working days!).

Purchased bds mainly from saved money over many yrs. of hard work. Going to have to slow way more down now & in the future though!

Happy w/most of my collection, but there are a few bad choices.

I have less than $50 invested in BDs. If I must buy a title, I get it on sale and when I'm done with it, I put it on eBay. I learned with DVDs that once I watched something, the title was usually never watched again and was banished to a shelf where it lost 80% or more of its value. I'm not going down that path again. (Except for the upcoming Complete Breaking Bad and Gravity 3D sets. )

Over 600 movies times roughly 23 bucks each is a lot of money
Only thing is I keep my collection. Seen each film I have at least 4 times

Most of my collection (3/4ish) is made up of catalog titles that I've liked throughout my life. The rest have been blind buys, of which I've enjoyed most of them.

My dvd collection was less a hundred when I was turned onto blu-ray, so my upgrades have been slowly trickling out over the years.

How much have I spent on blu rays???? I'd have to say too much!! With no slowing down in sight. But I must add I am able to do this due to my loving husband whom only has me pay some of the house rent and a few odds and ends that we need in between paydays. The rest is my money to do with what I please.

I'm guessing I am easily in the 10k range, most movies I own I paid on average 7-10 dollars per title, although earlier on when I first started buying Blu-Rays I did pay more then I should or wanted for certain titles. It should also be stated that I often buy used titles for the above stated price range, which helped grow my collection much faster versus buying strictly new.

I also try to not buy every single title upon it's release date, only buying those titles which I know I really, really want (usually ones that have slips). Otherwise I wait until the price drops for the title I want into the bargain range.

With that said, the EE of the Hobbit shall be mine release day, price be hanged.

I feel the same about The Shadow. I will pay the $20 Shout will want for it because of the new master and hearty extras.

I have no idea how much I've spent on my collection, but it's definitely more than I should have. A lot of them have dropped in price sharply at some point or another, and I've imported a lot that came out cheaper in the US later on. Should have been more patient on certain ones.

I held off buying the Shadow upon it's initial release, especially after the poor reviews the disc received (this is Universal we are talking about after all). But I do fully intend to buy that title from Shout if for no other reason then the new transfer of the film, the added extras are a nice bonus for me.

For must own titles in my collection, price is never an obstacle, that said regardless of how much I want Fright Night, $300+ for that... I just can't bring myself to spend that level of coin.

If you average $10 per movie I own it would be close to $20,000 but it's more than that, a lot of movies I get on release day, plus I have a lot of steelbooks and collectors editions that I have shelled out extra for. I'm thinking it could be upwards of $50000 or more
