UK - Serpico
Matte varnish finish with metallic shine on necklace and sunglasses. Spot gloss applied to title.

The finish on this is very nice. If you managed to get the Blufans release of Godfather, its the same finish.

Its actually almost $19 at Zavvi. Did the price raise in a matter of hours?

Just switch to British pounds. Then it's around $10.

Yep, always have to compare prices on each piece, sometimes the US dollar rate is actually cheaper, but always double check on all of them!

I've always bought in USD. Have I been paying more for some things this whole time??

sometimes, yes.
sometimes, no.

Someone else in the deals thread found it. I always thought that all prices except GBP were higher. But in fact zavvi sets them manually, so sometimes USD prices are way better, in rare cases EUR prices are better, and most of the time GBP prices are better (although the latter normally not by much).

You could get for example the Ghostbusters steelbook until recently for around 6 or 7 pounds by changing currency to USD. While the regular price was actually 12 or even 14 pounds.

21 Jump Street could be gotten for 10 USD (which is a bit less than 7 pounds), while the GBP price was 8 pounds.

Possibly, I luckily learned pretty quickly that it is best if you switch and check multiple currencies.

For example:

Right Now - "Expendables 3" is £9, which would convert to about $13 USD, however, if you switch to USD on their site it comes up $21.30 USD.

Then on the flipside, right now, "A Prophet" is showing up at £30, which would be around $45 USD, but if you switch to USD for purchase, it comes up as $10.64! (which means I am going to go back and buy it at the $10.64!)

I don't really like the look of it, seems kinda lame

Also I dare you all to check out "Prince of the City", it's better than Serpico in every aspect. Absolutely amazing movie that unfortunately not too many people seem to know.

But isn't it the iconic poster artwork? It's certainly the same art as any poster I've seen on various bedroom walls in other movies or tv shows.
