Default Spike's "The Mist" (Season 1)

Quote:
Harvey and Bob Weinstein of The Weinstein Company is bolstering their presence on the television scene, reports the L.A. Times. And, in addition to the Scream television series we've been reporting on, it appears Bob Weinstein wants a television series based on The Mist as well.

According to the Times, Weinstein is "developing a proposed 10-part series with Frank Darabont, based on Dimension’s film version of Stephen King’s “The Mist."

In addition to that, of course, is a possible television series based on Sin City as well, and that seems like a no-brainer.

The Mist, however, is a puzzler. The film, in my opinion, is a horror gem. So, it doesn't need to be retold, by any means. Perhaps Darabont is considering "other tales within The Mist"? Other perspectives of those who are caught up in the mist when it descends on a small Maine town?

The original was released in 2007 and starred Thomas Jane and The Walking Dead's Melissa McBride and Laurie Holden. Following that film's releasing, Darabont, of course, developed The Walking Dead, until he was booted from that series by AMC. This week sees the debut of his latest television series, Mob City.
