I know I done have the big bucks stuff, but I have two Polk tsi300 speakers. I had a CS20 center at one time, but sold it.
Anyway, with the center I feel like I'm missing lots of sound from the fronts. The center just doesn't seem to get everything I want to experience. It could be that I don't have a subwoofer. When I play 2ch stereo with HD movies the bass is really good. With the center a lot of that bass is gone. I think it is because the avr is expecting a sub. I have had a big sub before, a Mirage 12, so I know it's not ideal in 2ch, but to me 2ch is better than fronts and a center with no sub. Am I wrong on the bass part? I'm going to hold off on a center until I get the sub, if I'm right. Thanks. Last edited by PlasmaMan; 12-01-2013 at 03:11 AM. |
