It looks like the US version will have an english dubbed 5.1 track. It looks interesting enough to watch.

I always turn off the dubbed tracks. I was watching House Of Flying Daggers with the english track and it was horrible. I turned it off and the film was fantastic.

RottenTomatoes gave the film a 92 pecent. That's one of the highest scores I have ever seen for a movie. This one is definitely a buy for me.

Anyone saw the movie "The Host"? Went to see when it first open at the Hillcrest Cinemas - www.landmarktheatres.com in San Diego. The original title was "The Monster" -from Korea. It is one crazy- out the seat scary movie. My GF just fly back from South Korea on Monday & got me a specials edition on DVD. And they shot all the scenes right on South Korea's Han River. My GF condo was just a few feet from where they shot that movie. Can't wait the BD released July 24.

i have seen it on DVD and enjoyed the movie a lot, but it is nowhere near out of the seat scary. the movie to me is more a comedy with monsters and a decent story than one that is mention to scare you out of your seats. it was definitely enjoyable though. i can't say much for the video/audio as the place i watched it at, while it did have a 50" 720p DLP and 5.1 audio, wasn't one of the better systems out there where you can see shortcomings of a transfer. i've also tend to be spoiled by the images of a BD movie and now think every DVD is a 2 out of 5 in pq.

It's sure freaked me out the part when the monster start to swings left and right under the bridges then off to the grass chasing them peoples. The theater where I watched the movie is way super louds- make my seat vibrates.

They speak in Korean with english subtitles when it was first open at the San Diego Landmark Theatres. They have released three formats, the DVD Special Edition, Blu-Ray Special Edition, & HD-DVD Special Edition all in Korean with English subtitles/Dubbed in English & Korean Dolby Digital 5.1, English Dolby Digital 5.1. I've already own the DVD special edition- will soon own the BD format. It is worth to watch many time-especially on the big screen.

I just got the bd of The Host and popped it in my player, and my first reaction is wow the PQ is beautiful, and the sound is also very good.
You could watch the movie in Korean with English subtitles, or you could watch it with English being dubbed instead of Korean, They do a decent job with the English dubbing, but it is really different from the English subtitles, as i think this is to keep the voices flowing with the movie as they cut some words out in the dubbing version. Although both sound versions are good, I prefer the Korean soundtrack with english sub titles it just feels and looks more natural, but it is nice to have a choice, especially if you don't feel like reading and just want to keep your eyes on the beautiful PQ. All in all good movie and the special effects are pretty good considering. If you like monter movies and or beautiful PQ The Host is highly reccomended.

I watched it in the movies, and loved it. People will be surprised by it. Better than most of the movies out there. A different perspective on life and cinema.

just picked it up today, so we will see, heard nothing but good about this movie, even the guy in frys when i went to pay had to say his piece on it. its a gamble as i have not seen it before but it seems like it might be right up my alley.

Great movie, I recommend it for anyone who wants a great monster movie. The opening sequence was amazing to watch and the rest of the movie was done quite well.

Let's hope J.J. Abrahms watches this before making Cloverfield and gets some good ideas.

I thought the movie was very good, even though it should have been about 30 minutes shorter. But the PQ was excellent.

This movie gets a "Buy it Playa!!!" from my friends and I. LOL!!!

It was good, but just like in every other Asian movie they do something that comes across as comical. The scene in the gym, or where ever they were, and they started crying infront of the girls picture and fell to the floor, it just makes you laugh and think oh my god why. That just totaly throws you off. This happens a few times. Don't get wrong, I still like the movie
