Can I transfer saved game data and demos to a different PS3?

Some PS3 saves are copy locked so that may be your issue. I had that happen with Killzone 2 when I got a second PS3, but now I'm a PSN+ member it's no longer an issue as you can copy proteced saves to online storage.

What you can do, in this case, is redownload your DLC on your second PS3, but of course this will occupy one of your 5 console slots on your account.
