The out-of-print Criterion Blu-ray of The Third Man.

As much as I love this movie, I ain't paying hundreds of dollars for it.

I hate paying inflated prices for anything. This is one I wish I had paid $50 for when I had the chance. Now it's definitely WAY above where I would buy it, and hell I have to admit even if I had bought it earlier on I would probably have looked to re-sell it anyway (like I've done with a few other expensive titles). Anything over $100 is just crazy to me, I would rather take the money and run at that point. Can't think of a single exception. It probably wouldn't be so collectible if it weren't the "definitive" release. I do think eventually, a superior release will probably come about and that will crush the value of the OOP Criterion. Although it's hard to see exactly when.

Maybe Criterion gets it back for a 4K format release. Or maybe they eventually sign a new deal with Studio Canal, and get all of these OOP titles back en-masse...

It's $9.99 on Amazon now, unless you mean you're waiting for $5.

I got it for $10.27 about a year ago when that was a decent deal.

Almost any Disney titles. Their prices are only low on release day. Beyond that, it takes forever for prices to drop.

I've only managed to get The Incredibles at a decent price from a pre-owned sale during Black Friday sales a few weeks ago.

I've never seen Fantasia, and I really want to, but I'm not going to spend $50 to do so.

I actually kept my dvd version for this. I find that with some movies, you don't want them too clear.

I don't want anymore but Twilight Zone here in Canada is insane -$80+ per season. I finally ended up buying the UK versions of season 2-5 for a fraction of that price. Canada really seems to get the worse of it - the States will get a massive price drop yet our price will stay high.

It's mostly just stubbornness that's kept me from buying these, but O Brother Where Art Thou and The Count of Monte Cristo never seem to drop in price.

Several!

Dial M for Murder 3D
Little Shop of Horrors (Stupid digibook!)
It's a Wonderful Life (Finally bought at $18. Still far too expensive)

On the bright side, I thought I would have a lot more trouble finding decent prices on the Simpsons seasons, but I keep getting lucky. Fox has really been rocking it in the price department.

Little Shop of Horrors was $14.99 this time last year so I jumped on it. Whenever a digibook drops to $15 or less it's best to jump on it. I wasn't planning on getting the Full Metal Jacket digibook, but for $11.99 a couple weeks ago was just too good of a deal. I sold my CA steelbook for nearly $20 so I came out ahead anyway.

Swamp Thing and Horror Show. Both are listed for $17.99 at Family Video, which isn't bad, but I'm hoping Shout will do another Halloween sale this year. Maybe get them for $15 each or less.

Sigh. This is a great thread idea, get people to complain about prices of blurays. People never do that enough on here.
