When I moved, I just wrapped my steelbooks in between shirts.

I folded one into 3rds, then I placed a steelie on it. I folded the shirt over, then put another steelie on top. Repeat. No dents or anything. The way the shirts wrapped around the cases, nothing could really fall out. Sounds stupid, but it's cheaper than buying a bunch of packing materials… Then again, maybe I was just lucky with the no-damage thing?

I would just pack all your SB's in a box or two, spines up then take them with you in your car right next to you since you're only a short distance away. If you have two boxes, put one on the floor and strap the other in. If you hit your brakes, you don't want the box to go flying.

I said they were valued at $50+, not that I paid that.

Also, I did not say "all" of them, did I?

Also, you can only get "scalped" if you buy off Ebay and/or someone from the forums that is reselling at Ebay values, of which I rarely (like... never) do either. When I first started collecting, I bought some steels from Ebay because they weren't available anywhere else and I wanted them, even at Ebay prices. But I think every collector goes through that phase for a bit when starting. Now I buy all my blu rays at cost from retailers, mostly with codes to reduce the price, and use Amazon UK whenever I can, because they chop 20% of the cost for US buyers by not charging the VAT.

Soooooo... um... no. Pretty much everything you put is incorrect.

You don't have to explain anything to the mouth.

You're right, you didn't say "all". What you said was

over 100 steelbooks, most of which

And something can't be valued at $50 if it's available RIGHT NOW for $20. The scalping comment was implying that you must have paid far over retail price to assume that it's worth far over retail price. That's the only logical explanation for your comment. But ultimately it's irrelevant if you paid 15 cents or 1 million dollars, who's going to value something higher than the generic retail cost right this second? But list me 10 that I can't get for less than $50 right now

So, yes, pretty much everything someone said was completely wrong. You would be mistaken about who it is, however.

Last time I moved, I used the fitted box to packed my steels and put double bubble wrap around the packs, then drive away by myself, but.......finally not any damaged.

I recently moved, and I took care to pack my 50+ Steelbooks myself.

I took one big box, laid down a layer of thick foam. I wrapped as many Steelbooks as I could in their own bubble wrap sleeves, and laid them flat on the foam. Then I added more layers on top of that, all with additional bubble wrap around them and in between layers. Then I added more foam on top. I let the packers seal the box.

Upon arrival, the box was a bit messed up, because it was so heavy, but the contents were safe. Nothing was damaged.

Thus, I'd recommend using small boxes and generous amounts of foam/bubble wrap, and pack so that nothing moves.

Wow. You seem like a real nice person. And you seem like you know exactly what you're talking about.
