WB/DC for me, I seem to be able to watch the films I love from them multiple times without losing interest. The only Marvel films I can do that with are Spider-Man & X-Men. I've watched and loved many recent Marvel films, but for some reason can't get through a second view.

You're in safe hands when you pay to watch a Marvel film. At the moment they're delivering good wholesome blockbusters, and they're gradually gearing towards darker things.

Even when you take the films by Sony and Fox at the moment, they're doing good interesting stuff that's not too ambitious or out of reach (although the Amazing Spider-Man films aren't looking to be holding up in a good direction, but we'll wait and see).

Other than Nolan's trilogy, what else does DC have to offer?

At the moment Warner Brothers are fumbling so hard to keep up with the big leagues (as is everyone else I suppose) that it sort of confusing how much they're doing. Maybe it's something to do with that big spiky ball Bluearth has quoted in his signature. It's hard to build something around a film that physically hurts to the touch.

Biased poster choices, to say the least.

Put icons? I puted icons! I took it from years. There is Superman, I SAID THAT. Not sure if you blind or something. 1 poster per hero like that.

I like both companies, but Marvel is continually putting out the better movies, in my opinion. DC/WB haven't quite figured out what they're doing yet it seems. Aside from the Burton/Nolan Batman films, the first two Superman movies, parts of 'Returns' and 'Man of Steel', and the Vertigo titles, the movies have been a mess. So until they get the kinks worked out, I'll continue to prefer the Marvel films. But I really do hope that DC branches out on their own soon, much like Marvel did. I think having a living, breathing, DC universe could be just as awesome as the MCU. I really hope it takes off.

I'm a DC fan through and through, with Superman and Batman being my favorite heroes of all time. That being said apart from the first two Superman films, the two Burton Batman films, and the Dark Knight trilogy, V for Vendetta, DC has been slipping in film (Superman Returns > Man of Steel). Marvel has genuinely made better films. I'm overly excited about every upcoming Marvel film (including the ones from Sony and Fox), but I can't say the same for DC.

I feel ya man, I'm on the marvel side tho lol but it's all good. I too am one of the few who think superman returns is superior to man of steel. man of steel IMO just had a weak story and bad dialogue. On the other hand spiderman is my favorite hero and I thought the the amazing spiderman had the exact same issues as man of steel. You'd think all of these movies budgeted with 150 or 200 mil + dollars would be the best movies ever, and maybe half of them are passable. Kind of a shame.

Agreed man. SR is much better than MOS. It felt like the original Superman films and was a perfect sequel to those films. Other than the original Superman films & Nolan films I dont like any DC films. Marvel is top notch! Got Em!!

DC easily, not even close imo. The majority of marvel films are forgettable one off popcorn adventures. Very generic and bland. Only films I enjoy from marvel are the first iron man and Captain America: The first avenger. Really pumped for the winter soldier!

Exactly, SR has that original feel to it. MOS was way too modernized to be make the character seem like something he wasn't. Still there are some great ones from DC other than batman and the original superman. I thought watchmen was really cool, but my favorite DC film next to batman begins would easily be v for vendetta.

On the other hand for marvel which is my preference, I really disliked the avengers, and I hope justice league kicks its ass whenever it comes out. It had so much potential to be amazing, and it was all cheesy humor to me. The phase one movies prior to avengers had a great balance of seriousness and humor, especially iron man. Now, eh, they're good but nothing special. Guardians of the galaxy is my only real care the Disney/ marvel for now. I hope spiderman 2 is great but I won't get my hopes up after the 2012 remake. The next xmen is my highest expectation and I hope it's the best xmen yet.

Yes, but despite those movies Marvel still has the better track record for me Darth. And I'm one of those who grew up with the Donner Superman.

The Avengers is the best comic book film of all time in my book. Atleast we agree that Marvel has been better than DC overall. Got Em!!

Are we including Marvel Studios as a whole with Sony and Fox? Or just Disney Marvel?

Regardless, I think I'd have to go with Marvel.

From MCU, The Avengers, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk have been films I've really liked. And then SM, SM2, TASM, XMFC and TW are some of my other favorites from Sony and Fox.

The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Batman 89 and Batman Returns are the only DC films that I've really liked. I love Arrow though. Obviously it's TV, but still considered DC. Everything else I don't care for.

I just give Marvel the edge, because I care about the heroes more (The Avengers, Spider-Man, Wolverine). The only character I care about from DC at this time is Batman and Green Arrow.

Technically the majority of the "Marvel" movies are different studios.. Disney is by far the worst for me. Fox and Sony are great, However I think i got to go with DC they do have some really bad titles but the really good titles even though are few blow away The Disney Marvel movies

There really needs a be a live action flash movie. I was reading on comicbookmovie.com that when Batman vs superman does come out, WB's plan is not to have cliffhangers at the end like marvel, but to have a little movie to introduce the character. No disrespect to anyone but I really dislike an idea like that. Even tho I like marvel more, the flash is a really cool character and even the marvel universe has acknowledged that he is the fastest character around. It'd be a shame to give him a quick flick (no pun intended) just to show who he is.

Marvel also has Howard the Duck, Spider-Man 3, Fantastic 4, Daredevil, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men The Last Stand, Ang Lee's Hulk, etc
