Because if they are puting two films on each disc they usually tend to cut back on features. I know some people don't care about extras but I do. Plus I would just prefer single releases for a cleaner look. As far as shelf space goes, make more blus and I will make more space.

Dang, I just got Final Wars on DVD.

Will definitely get the ones with Tokyo: SOS and Godzilla vs Mothra. Could take or leave Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II. Haven't seen the others, but I've been renting all the Godzilla movies like a fiend before the remake comes out, so I'll either see them before these get released, or just blind-buy them.

I hope these editions don't have just the recut English version or anything. That's been the biggest reason why I refuse to buy King Kong vs Godzilla (stupid Unversal...).

This hunch goes for all the studios that didn't release some of the titles..
I think it could be because they are waiting for the release of Godzilla 2014 on home video - which probably will be 3-4 months after the theatrical release. I think it's just another marketing bandwagon thing - Sony can release their movies, as can Section 23 , when Godzilla 2014 comes out on blu ray as well.

So, does this means Sony is back into the catalog business?

I know it's kind of silly to complain about this but I wish these movies were being released individually because I really just want Godzilla vs. Mothra and Godzilla vs. Destroyah.

Exquisite news.

With the new Godzilla film coming out, I had a feeling it would lead to a bunch of the older films being released on Blu.

HOT DOG!

No one knows yet as there hasn't been an official announcement from Sony regarding the releases. Regardless of that point the only two titles that wern;t originally released in OAR from Sony were Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah and Godzilla Vs Mothra. As I don't believe there has ever been a full screen Blu release of any title I would expect all of these to have the OAR.

I'm so anxious to hear more details on these. Like, will we get the original Japanese audio/versions for all of them? I sure hope so.

Sony don't own any of those anymore so they won't be the ones to bring us those anyway. Classic Media have a whole bunch (Godzilla '54, Godzilla Raids Again, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster, Invasion of Astro-Monster, All Monsters Attack and Terror of MechaGodzilla) but don't want to release them on BD, aside from G54 obviously. We can only hope they change their minds on that.
