I adored this so much! Sweet, charming, and so funny! Oh, and did I tear up a few times as well I must admit. Surprised at how effective it was at established at the right tone, and supplying itself with warmth and heart bringing the relationship between the strong, clever, feisty Tip and her absent mother, and Tip's and Oh's relationship to quite moving ends.
Rihanna and Jim Parsons make for some brilliant, inspired casting. Great chemistry together, and much ado to them for really making the film work imo. Steve Martin is fun, too. I saw it in 3D, and the animation was vibrant and dazzling. Pleasant surprise from Dreamworks, tho disappointed to see this have such a low RT score. As a big Rihanna fan (and almost sole reason why I saw the film) love her supplying most of the soundtrack, and with original music! As Real As You and Me for the Oscar plz. ![]() ![]() As far as movies about aliens invading Earth starring Rihanna go this was MUCH better than Battleship lol ![]() |

Oh wow, i don't know what you guys where watching but this is by far the worst Dreamworks CGI movie they've done, probably the worst Dreamworks movie period. It was bloody awful and completely ridiculous and devoid of any humour

I kind of feel like Dreamworks does that with some of their films. There's the Kung Fu Pandas and the Madagascars and such, but then they aim for a younger demographic with stuff like this and Peabody & Sherman. They just feel more aimed at younger kids. They also tend to be their worst films.
